The Three Gables Boutique Villa is a very comfortable and beautiful villa. It has four rooms and is ideal if you want a private home stay in what is a very busy beach in the swimming season.

The lobby area gives a breathtaking view of the ocean and it has a lovely beach stretch. I can believe that in the season November to April the beach here must be fabulous.

There is a very inviting pool, and a private beach area to lounge: perfect to sip a thambili and enjoy the sea spray.

The bed rooms are very cosy and comfortable and can be reached via separate stairways. I do think the limitation here is that guests have to be able to climb stairs. My mother at 80 plus years was able to manage but then she is fit enough to climb. The staff were at hand to escort her safely on the stairs even if she didn't need help. She was delighted with her stay here.

The food is very fresh, tasty and of an excellent standard and the chef takes much pride in his dishes. You can discuss menus and the staff will go to much trouble to serve you what you ask for. I do recommend the Sri Lankan menus.

What strikes a homely note most is the friendliness of the staff. Their smiles are genuine and you can sense that they love their job. I would say please tip them generously as they are a caring team. I wish each and every one of them a successful career at Three Gables. I feel their loyalty to the owner and the customer care they offer says much about the generosity of the owner. Kudos to everyone.

In all this was a happy stay for all of us. Our group ages went from five years to eighty plus.

As a previous reviewer mentioned a door at the top of the stairs to the rooms at the front might enhance the experience in the bedroom and bath. It is just a suggestion.

where do I begin? we have only just left this slice of paradise on the south coast of Sri Lanka and I already feel compelled to write a review, not only to highlight how magnificent it is but also to thank the most amazing staff there. The building is absolutely beautiful, an architectural masterpiece, set on a delightful, secluded spot on the beach, away from the chaos of Mirissa beach. (5 mins in a tuktuk) we were welcomed with a delightful welcome drink and introduced to Dinuka, a true gentleman and now considered a friend. our room was spotless, provided with delightful toiletries and the room was regularly checked, beds made and even small chocolates placed on our pillow before bed. the food was a culinary marvel, with a 5 star chef present and able to adapt. our last night we had a candlelit dinner of seafood on the beach. cocktails served, wine… nothing was too much. and now to what make this place a cut above the rest- the service. the staff are the most polite, attentive group, who always offer a smile. Dinuka is a true gem: there’s no trying to sell for commission, no ulterior motive behind his charm; it’s all genuine advice and recommendations. this guy genuinely makes you feel so relaxed and able to ask anything. He is a fountain of knowledge and passionate about teaching you about Sri Lanka. When I sprained my ankle in mirissa, he sorted me an ice pack and some medication and I know if it had been more serious, or if anything serious had happened we would have been in completely safe hands. Suresh is also an absolutely fantastic asset to the hotel, he has the friendliest manner, is very knowledgeable and goes out of his way to ensure top quality service. please please visit this place! it’s so much more than a hotel but a beautiful experience that we will treasure until we return again!

Three Gables Boutique Villa is one of the greatest gems in Mirissa - exactly as described and in the pictures - clean, elegant, comfortable! it is located a very short tuk-tuk ride from Mirissa beach, but who needs to go to the public beach when you have the whole private beach in front of your room. Everything is provided for, management is top class, pool was clean, villa was beautiful and modern. Aircon works well, coffee tea and water is easily available. The food at the hotel is great, fresh and customised to your liking. Dinuka and his team make you feel like you are royalty. Can’t think of anything to change/improve. Perfect place to stay for small family, or a romantic getaway!

We stayed here over the weekend and it was amazing. The food was delicious, they have an 5 star chef. The staff are very attentive and friendly. As for the rooms, we booked two rooms and both of them were very clean and comfortable with as amazing view of the sea/beach. The beach itself was very clean too but sadly the waves were too strong for us to go swimming, thankfully they had an amazing pool for us to enjoy.

A stunning venue really. The infinity pool overlooks a gorgeous private beach. The appointments in the venue are first class in terms of design and style. The beds are super comfy and the beach side setting just can't be beat.

Dinuka and his buddies are super friendly and helpful and are available to you 24/7. It was great to grab a Tuk Tuk via a recommendation from Dinuka and know you weren't getting ripped off!

Overall, a very enjoyable stay at a stunning beautiful venue!

The most beautiful hotel we've ever been in.
The hotel is not cheap, but worth every euro.
Everything was perfect and we recommend the hotel with all our heart.
The people are super friendly, helpful, always and at any time there for you. We also got some great insider tips, so we had a fantastic snorkeling experience with giant turtles.
The rooms are beautiful, with very comfortable beds and an amazing view, because everything is glazed, but still everything is very private. The hotel has only 4 rooms, which makes it super quiet and relaxed.
The pool and the directly adjoining private beach is beautiful and very clean.
The food was very tasty.

There is simply nothing missing.
Special thanks to Dinuka, you are really a wonderful and lovely person and made the holiday unforgettable.
We loved it very much and will surely come back to see you again sometime.

It is as if it were your beach house, in front of the sea, there is no detail that escapes them. They are attentive, a predisposition so that you have unforgettable days. The hotel has 4 rooms and is a pearl, ideal for disconnecting and recharging your batteries. The food is very good and you can eat it in different places, it has a pool that overlooks the sea and everything is clean and in perfect condition. I would mention all the staff because they really always find a solution and make it very easy for you.

Three Gables in Sri Lanka: located at the southernmost tip of the South Asian subcontinent, there is no land mass south of the Three Gables in Mirissa until the South Pole. Including the blue, sperm, humpback, and killer whales, a marine mammal sanctuary of 26 species of whales and dolphins entertain the visitor! Maintaining the guest privacy, the amazing staff of the Three Gables provide all the needs. This includes duck, goose and gel pillows to a range of international and indigenous cuisine, and service to the pool or the beach front. Three Gables is one of the most beautiful hotels in the world!

A fantastic hotel with exceptional staff. In particular Dinuka who not only made our stay more enjoyable but was also very helpful and re-assuring when we had travel plan worries due to flights potentially being cancelled, curfews and other chaos going outside in the world.

The hotel is great and the pool very well maintained. The easy walk down the handful of stairs on the private beach was excellent. Nice to enjoy the beach with peace and quiet.

The food we had was excellent as were the drinks.

Thanks so much for everything, the whole team are excellent.

All the best,
Ryan and Rachel

This villa is cosy and small, and we were lucky to have it all to ourselves as the other rooms were not occupied. The staff (Dinuka and Ishara) went out of their way to make sure that we were comfortable, and even went the extra mile to search for what they didnt stock. The food was delicious, well thought of and well presented.
My only suggestion would be that for utmost privacy, perhaps a door could be installed prior to entering the balcony. There is provision for lounging in the bathtub and looking out at the sea, and though the staff are well trained, it maybe nice to have a door at the top of the stairs. (and not just at the entry to the room)
