Set out at sea Urraca Private Island is an adults-only eco lodge located in the calmest, most pristine area of the Bocas del Toro archipelago, on the northern Caribbean coast of Panama. Only 30 minutes away by boat from Isla Colon you will find this secluded paradise. An adults-only eco lodge on a mangrove island with no actual land, where every structure is built on stilts over the water, connected by docks. Suspended over turquoise crystal clear waters, you will be able to spot amazing wildlife everywhere you turn. Our close proximity to mangrove forests, seagrass meadows, and coral reefs will allow you to easily explore different ecosystems. The fresh meals from our gourmet restaurant will captivate your senses (vegan menu available). Our fish and seafood are the catch of the day and cooked with love. We are here to make sure your stay is as relaxing as possible and will do anything we can to meet your expectations. Welcome to this authentic experience!

We stayed on Urraca Private island 4 days during the Covid lockdown in Panama. Francine and her staff could not have made our vacation any better. They provide top notch service and the food was great! I can honestly say I don’t think I have ever had any better food. This was our 50th international vacation and I would rank it number 1! Everyone is made to feel very comfortable and that everyone is welcome. We had kayaks to use, beautiful views and excellent accommodations! It’s the perfect place to go if you want to get away from stress and relax!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Urraca Private Island Eco Resort for 4 nights in December 2020. And while from pictures, I had high expectations, the visit surpassed them. After the stress that 2020 has brought, it was so restorative to swim in clear water, take naps in hammocks, kayak around the island, and laugh over wine with Francine. The food was delicious, and so obviously cooked with love. And then the monkeys! They were so fascinating to watch and visit with each day. As a traveler, I tend to want to visit new places, but Urraca is definitely a place I will return to again.

Francine has really created a magical vacation destination @ Urraca Private Island! We stayed two nights in February 2020 before continuing to other Bocas Del Toro resorts. We added the special Sunset dinner (food was amazing our entire stay) and His & Hers massages which were great and very relaxing. This was our 25th Wedding Anniversary celebratory trip and Francine made sure our stay felt very romantic. Loved spending time with the monkeys, specially Mika, the very-male-friendly monkey who became my husband’s friend 🐒. We can’t wait to return and next time, introduce our daughter to this amazing little island location. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay and highly recommend it!

We had such a lovely experience at Urraca. Francine is a dream. It is incredible how much she's able to do. She is really charming and a lovely host. The mangrove island was wonderful. I fell in love with Mika. If you are somewhat adventurous, this place is incredible.

This Little private Island was for us as close to paradise as you can get. The whole experience was just wonderful. Booking was easy with Francine, she organized a water taxi for us and we left the “normal world behind” to spend a few great days on this little patch of mangroves. The huts are basic, but lovingly decorated and very clean - The view spectacular! Francine is an amazing woman and a wonderful host, she takes care of everything and make sure everybody is happy. She rescued a number of monkeys who also live on the island and are very friendly. Of course, she knows tons about them! She can also organize a variety of day tours, we chose spearfishing with indigenous fishermen and a trip to the bat cave. Both were great. We wished we had more time to stay longer and enjoy more! You can also swim, snorkel or kayak around the island, just from the deck of your hut. The food was also just wonderful, nice choices and very fresh seafood of course. You have to try the lobster! Make sure you stay a few days to fully enjoy the place.
