Back in this hotel after two years, always exceptional. Large rooms, pilots simply splendid, breakfast is sweet that always jumps with high quality product, dinner is meat and fish mouth-watering, very attentive and professional service, private and free car parking. Try it and you will be satisfied.

A real discovery!! Passing through, I found myself in this enchanting place: I slept very well in a very clean and quiet room. I also had the opportunity to use the swimming pool and ate at the restaurant in the courtyard in a truly magical atmosphere. TOP! I'll definitely be back.

Beautiful location, welcoming staff, super good restaurant
The rooms are super clean and in perfect classic style, importantly they are soundproofed
There is also outdoor parking, unattended, but still safe.
The pool is huge.

Because I also want a hotel to make a profit, I approached them by email for a room. Another answer after 3 emails. She called and oh sorry sorry, it will be fine. Not so. Upon arrival the booking was nowhere to be found.
Fortunately, they still had a room.
Strange hotel, it looks more like an apartment complex. All Italians who seem to live there.
In the morning, breakfast had already been plundered at 9 o'clock by the residents of the hotel, who had gone to work (?). The staff was not very helpful in replenishing breakfast.
All in all, not a hotel that contributes to a holiday feeling.
I tried to speak to the manager “Daniela” about what was going on. But she avoided me.
I bumped into her as I was leaving. She turned around in the middle of my sentence. I have rarely been treated like this. Hence a 1 for the hotel.

Fantastic location in the quiet hills of Val di Sangro. Cozy and clean rooms, excellent breakfast and spacious swimming pool. The only flaw, a big flaw, is the amount of annoying and sticky flies in the spaces in front.

Abruzzi is the best kept secret in Italy...undiscovered, with scenic lush vineyards and fabulous Adriatic vistas. Amazing! This exquisitely restored castle is an beautiful retreat for anyone wanting to get away from the crowds and restore their health. We were treated like royalty by the owner and their staff as we went for an afternoon repast on one of our leisurely travel days...Marcelo, the waiter with a professional, quiet but knowledgeable manner, attended to us like we've never seen before. Custom menu items were created just for us, the service was impeccable and the ambience was unforgettable. We long for the day when we can return to stay there for a period and take in this lovely, historic region full of tremendous wines, unheard of in Canada the USA. I almost hate to share this gem, but hope that those who seek out the very best will venture to this unque setting... It is not for everyone, but if you looking for fine food, professional & quiet service, elegant surroundings and the ultimate setting in a remote part of Italy, then you may want to check this Hotel/Restaurant out. I assure that you won't be disappointed. Ciao!

Don't expect any help with your bags. The Reception staff were atrocious, all 3 of them behaved like a 1 or 2 star hotel. Flatly refused to organise any help with our bags from the car, so I had to carry them up to our rooms. My wife was sick as a results of eating the fish pasta (she's a nurse so she knows it was that) the reception staff, were dismissive, did not believe us, and did not even take the lunch price off the bill. So we paid for my wife to be ill, and she missed a last night out with our friends because of this. There were a few other things the reception failed to do, they didn't appear to understand it was a 4 star hotel.

A real shame the reception chose to let this place down, our friends live nearby and run a B&B, they are always looking for places to recommend when friends, family and guests. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place. As service is such a big part when you stay somewhere, the reception staff, made it an unpleasant stay.

The reality with this hotel is that they cater mainly for weddings, there were 2 happening whilst we were there, so they focus on this rather than other guests.

The hotel itself is very nice, rooms and grounds are lovely

The castle was restored a number of years ago and they have truly turned it into a paradise. Every aspect of the place is a thing of perfection, it is inspiring! They have recently added a new beauty / fitness centre and rooms structure next to the main castle. I have to say, I am extremely impressed with the fact that the style of the new structure is in keeping with the original style and it only increases the beauty of the location.

I spoke to a number of locals and this is one of the most popular locations in the entire region. Everyone has been to some form of celebration here; mainly weddings. The prices are high compared to all other places in the area, but that's to be expected with a place of this quality.

I wouldn't recommend the castle for families with young children who want to have lots of activities and exciting things in the area. The castle is ideal for couples looking for a romantic location or large groups looking for a lovely place to celebrate an event.

The castle is a true gem in the beautiful green Abruzzo.

This hotel is truly lovely and very clean but lacks something...I've been here four times over the years and can't quite but my finger on it.
It's a castle and the potential is HUGE.
Sometimes, the magic is in the details and it seemed to lack magic.
The staff are ok. Some are friendly, some aren't.
The dinner dining in the basement could be so great if they only added some candles and flowers on the tables. It was so plain.
The room hasn't changed in all the years I've been.
I think they make SO much money in events that all their focus goes there and they don't spend too much time on the hotel portion of the business.
We were there on a Saturday and Sunday night and there was a wedding both nights. The Sunday evening wedding celebration on the pool deck went well on into the night and we couldn't get to sleep till after 11pm. Again, little consideration for the hotel guests who are there to sleep.
