Thought I had booked a nice 4 star hotel with facilities.
Spar very poor, tiny shallow pool, showers not working, steam and sauna often turned off.
Bar and restaurant the most uninviting space ever, serving a snack menu only.
Room getting shabby and lacking equipment,...More
we stayed over half term October and had a wonderful week stay, weather was kind to us and warm with only one off day which helped.
Others warn of the smell but we only noticed it occassionaly and then never for long, it was always...More
We went in mid October for a weeks break. The rooms are lovely. Clean and modern. The only downside is there isn't a hair dryer in situ. There is an option to hire one for 10 euros for your stay, albeit a tiny travel one....More
We stayed in a suite which was large, light and airy and kept very clean.

65km (40 miles) It takes 45 minutes if you go by car or taxi but if you get a shuttle bus you are looking at an hour and a half by the time it goes round all the resorts on the way there. We had to wait for nearly 2 hours for a shuttle to be available the first time we went. The second time we took a taxi and was there in 45 minutes Well worth the extra cost.

Weather is still pretty good, even in Winter and was up in the 30s during the summer. We made a decision to hire a car from Gold Car as we wanted independence and the transfer from the airport can prove very expensive. Gold Car offer 8 days car hire for around €250, fully comprehensive insurance so no worries (but get your insurance/rental directly from them to avoid any discrepancies). When you arrive then there are some additional charges for tax and tolls but there is quite a substantial refund for tolls depending on how many major roads you use. Hope this helps!
