Me and my partner stayed here for one night .The hotel was really impressive, inside and out. The lady on reception was friendly and informative, our room was spotlessly clean, clean towels were provided and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel was pretty busy as a wedding was in full swing, but our room was pretty quiet. My partner headed to reception to ask for some toothpaste as we’d forgotten to pack any, the guy on reception barely looked up from his computer screen and wordlessly placed the toothpaste on the desk....rather rude! Breakfast the next morning was a complete shambles. We waited to be seated and tell guy in charge our room number, he came, took our details (without saying a word) then turned and walked off, we assumed we were meant to follow to a table but he vanished into the kitchen!!!! We were really shocked at how rude and ignorant he was! We eventually found a table that wasn’t dirty and covered with plates and helped ourselves fo the buffet style breakfast. A lot of items had ran out and we had to wait a while. The hotel itself is lovely but it’s a shame some of the staff don’t seem to be trained in basic customer service (or even basic manners).…
I booked a two night stay for myself and my husband . The parking was great and from the outside the Hotel looks very impressive but once inside it all look like it needs a bit of t l c . The carpet was worn as was the hall carpet. The top sheet of the bed had stains ,but the bathroom was clean. The room was just average nothing special. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept In it had a large dip in the middle. I reported this to reception so another guest wouldn't have the same problem. The only response I got was ok. This added to the fact that earlier I had asked for more milk pods for our room to be told no we don't do that. I was told to take some from breakfast., which I would not expect that response from a hotel and I certainly wasn't going to take a cup of milk away. My husband and were celebrating 25 years of marriage so I booked as I thought I would be getting a wow factor with this hotel but sadly not. It has however given me an excuse to take him away again.…
First time that I have ever stayed in this hotel and I must say, it was a pleasant trip. I would say the hotel bears resemblance to a Malmaison/HdV, which is great as it was styled perfectly for me. The staff were lovely. The only issue would be the price of breakfast but it was lovely all the same.…
Prices too high for what you get. Service absolutely not professional nor forthcoming. Smiles rare indeed. Rooms contemporary but not worth the price. Great emphasis laid on decor, but prices don't justify what's offered. First night we were charged GBP 119 for an executive suite and all that means is that you get a coffee machine, some snacks under the TV and amenities in the bathroom, plus breakfast (which is nothing to write home about). The second night we paid GBP 109 for a standard room, and you walked into a bare room, no snacks, no amenities, and the coffee machine was replaced by a kettle and instant coffee with a teabag or two, and no breakfast. So for GBP 9 less, you get a room basically. Won't be returning here...…
We came here on the off chance whilst looking for a wedding venue. They were helpful and accommodating even though we didn't book a meeting. All the staff from start to finish were amazing and made the whole experience smooth and straight forward. Everything from the decor, food, drinks and rooms were perfect and many of our guests loved the hotel. Anybody looking for a wedding venue should strongly consider here as we don't believe you could find anything better for the cost. Thank you all for making our day amazing and sorry it's taken us so long to post a review. Ian and Ellie…
"Its a quiet area on the edge of a business park, so unless you are planning to sleep during the day, all rooms would appear good."Read full review
