I am mexican and this was my third time visiting the sanctuary. However this was my first time staying over. And I must say it was really relaxing and different compared to my previous trips. The fire place was really cozy and the food was indeed tasty, natural and fresh. They clearly use produce from the region and you can...

Juan Carlos and his family make you feel welcome right away. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. It is a fantastic place to get away from the city. It's location is beautiful! Delicious food!

I stayed here for a night I will tell you is a complete rip off! The pictures they show in tripadvisor and their website are completely untrue, for example the waterfall they show is not in the premises but 1 hr drive away and the pool is COMPLETELY DISCUSTING and GREEN! My family and I were hoping we could use...

We stayed here this last weekend when we visited the Monarch Butterflies. Our young children, 3 and 5 and their friends of the same age loved this place. The rooms are large enough to acommodate a family of 4 (there are two double sized beds). The place is basic but clean and Juan Carlos and his family are very hospitable...

My husband, parents and I had a lovely time staying with Juan Carlos and Lolis at the Club Campestre. They were so welcoming and kind, and obviously deeply connected to the place. They are from Mexico City, but have family connections in Michoacan. In addition to running the hotel, they also run a foundation that helps the local people with...

When you pay an hotel MXN $850, you expect a decent service and rooms. The water isn´t even warm and you´re not supposed to take a bath more than 5 min because "Turism secretary says so". The clenness is questionable, and the service in the restaurant is flexible. Paying half the price the deal would have been perfect. But for...

The club campestre is near "el Paraiso Monarca" where you can admire thousands of them hanging in the trees en flying above your heads. Juan Carlos and his wife take good care of their guests and prepare fine breakfast with fresh fruits. He drives with you to the Paraiso if you like to. Bring some warm cloths because it is...

Tourists heading up to see the monarch butterfly migration in Michoacan, Mexico, won't find many options for accomadations in the closest town, Agangueo (and what is available is quite expensive). We came into Agangueo about an hour before sunset and were hurting for a place to eat and relax. We looked at several dark, cold establishments and finally settled, for...

“Chose the rooms in the left that have no rooms above, those are great.”

“I paid $1,200 MXN per room (3 rooms total) and they accommodate us in rooms prices as $850 MXN with no refund! So if you ask me take good care of what you paid and request it forcefully. Also do not expect to have water at night time, because the pipes will free, not that you can fix that by simply burring the pipes. There problem solved!”
