Tesoro Escondido is definitely a special place, for the right type of traveler. First, it's on the most beautiful beach in all of Boca. The cabins are comfy, and I would definitely recommend springing for one of them versus staying in the main house if you can swing it. (Especially Dolphin, it's so sweet!) The owner and her staff are...

This is really heaven on earth. You live in harmony with the nature and the nature provide you with the best it has to offer. The service is excellent and you feel very welcomed and relaxed. Have a drink on the wonderful terrace at the main building or why not relax on your private balcony, overlooking the ocean.

Really a wonderful spot to getaway for a couple of days or longer. It shows off some of the best areas and rythym of life in the Bocas del Toro archipelago. If the water is calm getting up and swimming first thing was my choice and then some tidepooling when the tide goes out. This place is so relaxing without...

On a friend's recomendation we sought out this wonderful hideaway. We were not disappointed. It's not easy to find... sort of hidden off the road but worth the search! We dined there three of our five nights in Bocas and had the most enjoyable and delicious meals of our two week trip to Panama. Dorothy the french cook, Monique and...

Tesoro Escondido has a great location right on the water, steps away from Playa Bluff. This place is exactly what we were looking for to end our vacation in Panama. It was not as hard to get to as some people describe - it is actually a pleasant ride along the beach. Expect to pay about $8-10 for a taxi...

Tesoro Escondido and Monique (the owner) made our trip. This eco lodge is built on a cliff overlooking the ocean and is surrounded by beautiful lush jungle. At first we were worried that we would be far from town (it is only 4 miles away, $8-$10 dollars in a taxi) but it was the exact opposite. We went into town...

My first stay to Monique’s was late January 2009, enjoyed it then love it now. The road is FAR superior to what it was back in January 2009, now a breeze to get to and from Bocas town. The taxi prices reflect this as they have dropped in price from twenty, if you could get one back in 2009 to...

Our visit to Monique's was amazing! We had come to Panama to stay at an all inclusive and lasted all but thirty six hours! Luckily, my partner had been to Monique's before. We escaped from Hell and ended up in Heaven! This "Hidden Treasure" is truly one of beauty. Upon arrival in Bocas del Toro we took a ten dollar...

The road was no problem, took a taxi from Bocas town, ($10.00) a few muddy spots but much improved, a bit of a challenge to find, it's past La Coralina on the ocean side. We stayed in the dolphin cabin, great spot, overlooks a nice little cove, great bird watching, we spent hours on the deck swaying in the hammocks....

This place definately is a "hidden treasure" that makes you feel totally relaxed as soon as you arrive. Monique, Jim, Dorothy, Aldofo, serafin, and the lovely dogs really make this place, and you feel so at home here.( hope i didnt forget anyone) Monique (the owner) is the most helpful person i have ever come accross, from her very informative...
