If your idea of fun and relaxation is a mix of exploration and a little adventure, or simply, just to connect yourself to nature, we are inviting you to MITHI RESORT AND SPA, which is only 20 minutes away from the airport and the seaport and a 15-minute leisurely drive from Tagbilaran City, the capital of Bohol, Philippines. Nestled in a 14-hectare natural terrain, this uniquely secluded resort is endowed with half a kilometer white sand beach which is exclusively for the use of resort guests. The room accommodations are three meters elevated from the beach, which in effect, not only offers a panoramic view of Tagbilaran Bay with a mountain range as backdrop, but provides better security as well. The resort has facilities for honeymooners, wedding events, as well as conferences, company, school, family and group outings, extended vacations, weekend escapades and other types of celebrations. Apart from the excitement that the island has to offer, the resort proudly presents the Mithi Spa, a perfect haven for quiet relaxation and pampering. Spa offerings include a full menu of massage, signature therapies and beauty treatments. The Dream Islet right in front of the beach, and the resort's natural underground cave where you can take a plunge in its natural clear waters, add even more uniqueness to this piece of paradise.

Mithi Resort offers a serene and luxurious escape, surrounded by lush greenery and crystal-clear waters, making it perfect for relaxation. The spacious villas and rooms are beautifully designed, offering stunning views of the ocean or gardens. Guests can enjoy exclusive access to the private beach and the inviting infinity pool, both of which are highlights of the resort. The staff are exceptionally friendly, attentive, and eager to make your stay truly memorable. Additionally, the spa services are top-notch, providing the perfect way to unwind.
However, while the overall experience is excellent, the food could use some improvement to match the resort’s high standards. Enhancing the variety and quality of the dining options would make an already great stay even more exceptional.

Our stay was wonderful and relaxing. The facilities are great! We loved Mithi. Albeit we had a mishap during the check-in, there was some trouble with Klook’s sub-agent in booking and apparently they indicated the wrong check-in date for us so our reservation was not showing up at first. They managed to book us into a premier villa, no extra charges. Although we had to wait almost 2 hrs to get everything arranged. We suggest confirming with the resort directly if you decide to book via a third party platform if this is the case. The staffers were so welcoming and warm, always there to assist and were always smiling. The ala carte food on their restaurant menu could use some improvement in taste, and prices although we enjoyed the breakfast buffet and their nachos. The views within the resort were breathtaking. It was so peaceful, a perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of living in the city. Thank you, Mithi. We will be back.

We stayed in a deluxe villa. Nice and spacious room, well cleaned and nothing to complain about. Yes there were some lizards on the walls sometimes but they tell us about them at check-in when it is eco resort. Didn't bother us noticeably. The pool area really nice and the beach with the island is a cool post. The cave was cozy to swim in and worth a visit. The hotel is a bit secluded and about 10min from alona (300 with bitch tuk) The hotel overall gets clear approval but the restaurant is beneath contempt and if there would be anything alt nearby they probably would not have had a guest. Slightly overpriced in relation to others but the big problem is the quality. In addition, the menu is really boring but it may be due to lack of competence in the kitchen. A clear signal is that every other guest brings takeout food to the rooms…. The hotel is teeming with staff but unfortunately it doesn't help when they seem completely untrained at their task and don't add much more than a smile.

I was really excited about this hotel when we booked. The one thing I’ll say that’s positive is that it’s a BEAUTIFUL setting. Pool overlooking the ocean which is very serene.
However, I’d rate this place 3 stars at best (maybe even 2 stars). The resort is extremely run down, probably hasn’t been updated since it’s opening 25 years ago….the food is almost inedible - I ordered pasta one night and couldn’t eat it. The rooms are very nondescript, just cement huts with very little charm. And the pool chairs are extremely uncomfortable- might I suggest the resort adds some cushions to them. The photos on the website don’t really describe the reality. If the resort put some effort into sprucing the place up (and getting a new chef) the hotel could be really amazing. Has a lot of potential, just not there right now.

The resort itself was beautiful. They have a private beach and the pools were big and had a nice view. Rooms were comfy and spacious. But overall service can be improved, considering their rates are a bit higher compared to other resorts in Panglao.
Some things that can be improved: 1. Make sure rooms are ready upon check-in. We booked a total of 4 rooms. We arrived around 2:30pm and even ate first but one room was not ready by the time we finished eating which was 4:30pm.
2. Remind housekeeping to clean rooms. For the 4 days we stayed, we had to call several times to request for our rooms to be cleaned. Our rooms were cleaned at 6pm and sometimes they were not even cleaned at all.
3. Add more staff. It felt like the whole resort was understaffed. We had to call staff whenever we wanted to order at the bar and some thing we requested didn't even arrive.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay because of the facilities. We felt that the resort was not prepared for the influx of guests during Holy Week. Will not stay at this resort again since there are other better resorts with lower rates.

We enjoyed our stay at Mithi and we were sorry to leave. But would not go back unless there were changes. The site is large and accommodation is based on a series of concrete ‘nipa huts’ with tall thatched roofs. Really nicely done. Our room was huge and comfortable although the furniture could have done with some TLC. The core facilities also used the nipa hut design and looked nice, at least during daylight. But this is where things unravelled. Reception is a very drab area. Furniture seems to be presented as antique. It actually looks dirty and shabby. At night, the lighting adds to the drabness. The water in the small outdoor pool was not clean and created a bad impression. But it was the restaurant that really dragged the place down. Again, poorly lit at night. The ceiling is bizarre, maybe intended to look like an upturned capiz shell lamp! Breakfast was a sparse buffet. Food from the menu was poor. And as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere you need a 15 minute car ride to find alternative food. Staff were friendly and helpful. A frustrating hotel. With significant investment it could be amazing. With modest investment it could be very good indeed. The irony is that the hotel management is spending money on room refurbishment and construction. If they spent that money on the core services first, they might need the extra accommodation. Shame.

Mithi Resort and Spa is an exceptional place for couples and families seeking a peaceful getaway. The ambiance is serene, and the staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience throughout our stay.☺️ However, our experience with the guards at the front gate left something to be desired. When we attempted to walk in, they informed us that the resort was fully booked and refused to allow us to enter the lobby, stating that the staff couldn't assist us due to an event that day. This was frustrating, especially since we checked the availability on Booking.com and Agoda and found that there were still rooms available.
While the overall experience at the resort was wonderful, I believe the guards could benefit from training on how to handle such situations more professionally and courteously. It would greatly improve the first impression for future guests.

Nice hotel. A bit old. Unfortunately, some things have been removed! When we arrived, we were asked to pay a deposit of 5000 php, which isn't bad in my opinion! In cash, however, and not by blocking the credit card as described. Unfortunately, we didn't have that much cash with us and there isn't an ATM in the hotel. However, the lady at reception was very nice and said we could pay the next day. The description also says there is a minibar, which is stocked daily. According to the hotel staff, this service has been removed, which is why the fridge is empty. The times for room service have also been shortened, contrary to the description (which is displayed in the room). When we arrived, after 9 p.m., we were allowed to order something to eat. We'll see how the next few days turn out here.

We flew from Rizal to Bohol to experience the private beach. lt was a dismay that it was low tide. According to the Mithi staff, there would be water the following day, not sure though if it would be at 10 am to 12:00. We immediately requested for cancelation because our flight the next day is at 4pm. We were rejected despite our fervent request. Even a 50% refund was not granted despite the fact that we did not use the two rooms that we reserved. We had to talk to different people only to find out that all was futile. We left the place and were not accorded any consideration. To think that the room where we dropped our things was not that cozy it looked old and the door was squeaking. Until now we are waiting for their change of heart and will realize that they were not fair. There was no disclaimer in their ads about low tide. The third party, Agoda, said that they understand but it was the decision of Mithi that prevailed. Such a waste of time, money and effort. There was no warmth whatsoever. Thanks to the next hotel we booked in though it was already late. And it was not low tide in Alona.

You stay in a small house/hut. We booked 3 rooms (house/hut) for my friends and I. Nice ammenities, view and service. Room was modern, spacious and clean. Mithi was able to hit the sport for someone like me who enjoys peace and quiet during their vacation. I was able to relax and enjoy my stay with my friends without any issues.
Breakfast buffet had limited choices of cuisines, though, they have a variety of pastries. Usually the food are Filipino (or Bohol) cuisines.
There was also a natural cave in the resort and you can swim inside but bats live inside so the water may smell of urine and you can see feces at the side. Our guide says the bats leave the cave when they turn on the lights so no worries if you want to swim. There’s a life buoy and jackets enough for a handful of people.
Their game room may need some maintenance (ex. air hockey doesn’t work properly, table tennis paddle rubber has mo grip, pool table felt needs to be changed and no chalk.)
Internet in our room is so slow to the point it’s useless.

well, i suggest that you put your arrogance and racism down, it is not the Victoria era. Yes, my English might not be that good as English is not my first language, and so what, well put your comment in Chinese then. Just to remind you it is 2019 already!
