Stage 2 or our tour of Sri Lanka. This is a lovely hotel. Beautiful views across the hills. Watching the sunset whilst in the pool was amazing. The staff were very friendly in their beautiful costumes/uniform. Plenty to choose from at the buffet dinner. Signs in the balcony doors made us chuckle with a picture of a monkey and a...

Great location on top of the hill. Hotel with many floors and rooms should have a ELEVATOR. We had room no.60 nice view but only accessible by foot. People with walking difficulties check before you book. Delicious food, friendly staff.

I stayed in the hotel with my family (kids 10 and 13). Room was comfortable, view was magnificent. You could see that the room could profit from some refreshment (seemed to me it was old) but it was well maintained and clean so we truly enjoyed. Buffet dinner was excellent - great variety, fresh. The hotel has an outdoor swimming...

We booked this place as a "treat" as it was much more expensive than the more budget hotels we had been staying at. Unfortunately it was not worth the extra money. The view was the best thing, but many hotels in Kandy have a nice view. The buffet dinner was average as they tended to focus on quantity not quality....

Took a while to drive up the winding driveway but definitely worth it. Beautiful hotel with views over Kandy. The gardens at this hotel are just lovely. All staff were polite and helpful and the food was plentiful and tasty. The pool was a perfect end to a busy day. Cannot fault our 2 night stay. Definition recommend.

As other travelers described, the view from the hotel is magnificent. No doubt about that, but the hotel has much more to offer. Besides a great location, the hotel is in the nice building in colonial stile, with a cosy atmosphere. I stayed for 6 nights in this hotel for a business purposes. All staff without exceptions was effective, very...

Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. We watched the sun set whilst swimming in the lovely pool. Our room was quite traditional, well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good with plenty of variety. My friend had her birthday whilst here. The hotel decorated her room and made a birthday cake which was...

Comfortable beds although linen rough, worn and bobbled. Towels good. Room 82 clean although housekeeping had missed chewing gum stuck up inside bedside lamp shade - presumably left behind by previous disgusting guest. View from room balcony stunning. Buffet style dinner and breakfast tasty/varied. Pool lovely and cool - very refreshing after long hot day of sight seeing. Communal areas...

I have been to Amaya before but any years ago and had fond memories of it: so was looking forward to being there again... The location is spectacular though some area do need a face lift and some work done... the views are gorgeous and it is truly a delight to wake up in the morning and peer into the...

A wonderful hotel on our way to Nurawa Eliya. We had 2 rooms for us and kids, and they were comfortable, clean, and wonderfully done. The breakfast and dinner buffets were outstanding, and the service was exceptional. The kids were able to use the pool whilst we looked out from our balcony, and we were able to relax with a...
