Stayed at Bracken House as part of a Christmas / New Year holiday. B&B was easy to find but don't make the mistake of following the sat nav too closely as it will lead you down Old Rectory lane which is in very poor condition and hard to turn around. Look out for the sign opposite the chapel and follow...

Directions to Bracken House were clear and we received a warm welcome on arrival. The house is beautiful and is very much a family home. the little touches made all the difference - a coffee machine in the room and fresh milk to go with it. Wonderful. A most enjoyable, although brief stay. We will certainly be back!

Fantastic Victorian former rectory, conveniently located to explore the North Devon coastline and Exmoor. Guy was extremely welcoming and we were made to feel relaxed immediately. Very much a home (as opposed to hotel) and much the better for it. Room was large and well equipped - Nesbresso machine particularly welcome for a good coffee. Breakfast delicious with home made...

A very warm welcome, well equipped bedroom, including ground coffee and a cafetiere, plus teas. No HT milk (thank goodness), but fresh milk in a thermos flask. Walk-in shower and plenty of toiletries provided. Beautiful view from bedroom window. Good breakfast with plenty of choices in a beautiful dining room. We only stayed one night but would willing stay again....

Have just returned after staying for 2 nights at this lovely house. The bed was really comfortable and the view out of the window was stunning. You could see to the Bristol Channel (approx 35 miles away we were told). Lovely breakfast and the hosts are really welcoming. Would definitely recommend to get away from it all. Felt very special,...
