We have just returned home after a wonderful night's stay at the Broomhill Art Hotel. The hotel is set on the side of a wooded valley and the grounds and the hotel itself are full of incredible sculptures and other pieces of art. The hotel was warm and inviting and the staff very welcoming. Our room was superb. It was...

Wish I'd known about Broomhill years ago. It's in a league of it's own, filled with art inside and endless sculpture outside in the gardens. The word oasis doesn't sum it up but the busy Barnstaple seems another planet.

Our favourite lunch venue and learn more about sculpture every time!Visited 3 times this year and always a real pleasure even if the walk up to the Hotel from the lower car park is a challenge at 78 years old ! Our dog helped pull me up and the first visit was so good after a long walk round the...

We enjoyed a one night stay at this superb hotel on the Monday before Christmas. We had to go to Barnstaple on Tuesday and decided to travel down the day before to cut down on driving. We searched for somewhere to stay on Bookings.com and booked this hotel not expecting it to be so fabulous as it was such a...

This was a very nce lunch - tapas style mains and super desserts. Very pleasant restaurant and good but not intrusive service, well worth a visit. We also enjoyed the modern sculpture in a lovely setting.

Ok what can I say I am an artist and this art hotel and gardens kept me busy for two day just wondering around absorbing all the art. Upon arrival we were greeted by the big red high heel shoe and the wonderful staff that always took time to talk with us. We took advantage of the room and dinner...

We went initially to experience the sculpture garden and ended up having morning coffee and a late lunch. If you like sculpture displayed in natural surrounding it is worth a visit, plus the house is full of artefacts as well.

Mixed views about this hotel and would describe it as good rather than average - but certainly not very good. Some positives and some negatives. The staff were very friendly. The ground floor public rooms were very pleasant, light and spacious with interesting art work on display. The restaurant was good and made for some civilised dining with a pleasant...

This is a really quirky place to stay. The hotel is stuffed full of lovely art work in all the public rooms, the dining room, corridors bedrooms and bathrooms! And the sculpture garden is a fantastic place to visit; residents get a free pass. Make sure you allow enough time during your stay to make the most of it. We...
