We stayed at La Farga 1 night which was already too much. Not very welcoming people. There were junks in the backyard and the pool was not accessible Did not sleep and felt very unconfortable in this room which was really stincky. The bed was not clean

Thank you, Vincent and Emily for a wonderful expérience. It was a pleasure to meet both of you and get a glimpse of French family life. And thank you Vincent for taking us to Vayrac so I could get my much needed medications! I have never stayed where we have received such personalized attention!

We chanced on this B&B and it was really great, Vincent was very warm and welcoming. Room for 4 was comfortable. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to taste Vincent's cooking which someone here mentioned. In a B&B I would have liked the option of more than a continental breakfast... we like to start off the day with a...

Staying at Carennac's delightful La Farga suited our small family perfectly, we enjoyed the busy family home atmosphere, found the hosts V & E charming, attentive, and accommodating of our needs, the main one our being vegetarian, and V prepared several excellent dinners for the three of us. As it was a quiet time of year we were upgraded into...

Vincent and Emily, the couple who run La Farga, were not only wonderful and warm hosts but were very interesting and exceedingly helpful. Vincent is a very good (and modest) chef, as well, cooking a delicious dinner for us and the other guests. It was one of the two best dinners - made with local, organic/"biologique", fresh ingredients - we...

Stayed here recently and found it a friendly and charming place. It is more like staying in a busy family home than a more commercial B&B so its a little haphazard, but as we also have children that suited us. Food was pleasant and tasty, although breakfast was a bit basic. We stayed in the disabled access room, which although...

This family-run inn is incredibly charming and sweet. Though I wasn't traveling with children, there were several families there, and it was clearly perfectly suited to family travel. The couple who owns the place has young children, and there are plenty of toys, books, and playspaces available. I didn't eat in the restaurant at night but the food looked fresh...

We stayed at La Farga on our 8-day bike trip in the Dordogne/Lot regions and it was very disappointing. We felt as though we were a burden and imposing on the hosts, who acted quite put-out. A couple runs the chambre d'hote and it doesn't seem to be something they enjoy -- it's just a way to support their lifestyle....

This is a lovely place with an interesting back story. Read Philip Oyler's tales of his time in the valley in the 50s and you'll enjoy the fact this inn was one of his principle watering holes. If I understand correctly, the folks who give it life now still have a family connection to the proprietors of that time. The...
