It has been a great experience to stay in Baan Chayna. A friend of mine suggested me this new hotel near to Surin Beach in order to have a relaxing and quiet vacation. I'm happy to say that it was a great experience for a lot of reasons: nice rooms and overall good hotel facilities, the quality of the service...

I spent a week in March '13 at Baan Chayna in a small but comfortable room and enjoyed the view, the quietness and service of the hotel. The manager and the employees were very lovely and helpful and even though the hotel was tucked away in the middle of a residential area, Surin Beach and Bang Tao Beach were not...

Stayed here for one day as needed to crash out before our plane at 3am. Website is very misleading as the location and quality of the property are not what is described. The guesthouse is a good 10-15 minute walk away from the beach through a not very nice area full of wild dogs running around. The property's swimming pool...

Spent 4 nights here - very relaxing place to stay. Very nice - got upgraded as they were full. Lovely room, nice pool, breakfast good (except for the sweetcorn yogurt...) - helpful staff and only a 10 minute walk to the beach.

Baan Chayna is a real gem. Recommended to me by friends who live locally, this small but perfectly formed hotel was really the very best that I stayed in during my three months in Thailand (Dec 2009 - Feb 2010); I stayed here for about 2 months of those three. It was then a family run hotel, which changed to...
