I am writing this Trip advisor report as the hotel has not given me their feedback form or email so I may respond.
We spent a week at The Le Zenia Hotel early October 2022 (our second visit) on a full board basis, sea view room, Check in was swift and professional & we were allocated our room at mid-day, a well appointed room on the first floor, all good so far, we suffered two nights in this room and had to request a move following Two nights of the Entertainment immediately beneath our room, It vibrated and we felt the base bang of the Music, totally unacceptable after Midnight, after a visit to reception on day three finally a room on the fourth floor was offered and accepted, No more noise from the evening “Entertainment”- Thank you very welcome.
So far so good, Meals in the restaurant were as to be expected, reasonable, my only complaint is – as with most European Buffets Nothing went together, it was impossible to create a meal of foods that complement each other, so a buffet of all sorts of food stuffs had to suffice. An “Idea” might be to offer a grill Steak service (Charge more for it), the very happy pleasant man grilling fish here could do this service.
I at this stage must point out that every member of the Restaurant staff were First Class, always a warm welcome, efficient service & a nice smile, they all need congratulating.
A stark contrast from the Bar waiting team, Now here we felt like second class citizens, I think we had the wrong Passport, or that is how we felt, Kevin & Susanna were very good polite and attentive, they came to take our order when seated outside swiftly several times, however We were totally IGNORED by Bridzina , Adrian & another mature slim guy with a beard. None of these staff would look at us or engage with us while serving happily Spanish customers, each time we sat outside we waited for around 20 mins while these staff served drinks to others & clearing tables around us- then I had to go inside to order, I also found this ignorance unacceptable.
The furniture outside consisted of Plastic Red & Black “Cheap” furniture that often snapped, quite dangerous, I have pictures of these which snapped when I used them.
If I were to sum up the Hotel I would say. Great Location, some staff are a real credit to Le Zenia Hotel while a few (mentioned above) let the whole experience down, I know the Manager cares, I noticed she inspected most areas of the hotel each day, I saw her inspecting the Restaurant drink Glasses one day complaining that some were cloudy, Obviously a dish washer issue, This level of attention to detail is good, But needs to extend to all staff attitudes.
Question, would we visit again? Probably, solely due to the convenience of the location, would I spend more time and money within the Hotel, I guess Not and will find alternative Bars to spend our hard earned cash in the area

This hotel is in an amazing location right in the sea front . We were in room 616 with a sea view. It’s a spacious room with two double beds. Loads of storage space and a lovely bathroom with shower. Everywhere was spotless and around the hotel they were constantly cleaning. We stayed B and B and the breakfast was buffet style but very good. English bacon and a lady cooking omelettes and eggs. The room was very quiet and had a blind which came down when you pressed a button so pitch black - lovely! BBC 1 was available if you wanted to watch the TV. The town is 10 minutes away with some
Nice restaurants . We would recommend Browns . Staff were fabulous and very helpful . There is a lovely costal walk with a great costal path . Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back !

We are sadly leaving this hotel today after a wonderful week.
I have rarely been so impressed. Excellent, friendly and professional staff, outstanding service, really nice clean rooms, and overall beautiful hotel.
The breakfasts were the best I’ve experienced, so much choice with delicious fresh food.
Our rooms cleaned every day to high standard. And a stunning view of the sea!
The pool area is large, plenty of sunbeds and cafe/bar right there, with a big seating area.
The location is perfect, pretty much right on the beach, beautiful views of the gorgeous sea.
There is entertainment (singers) on in the large lovely lounge bar every evening
I would definitely hope to return later this year and come back on a regular basis.
Love, love, loved it! Thank you all.

This is the second time that we have stayed at La Zenia Hotel. Since we last stayed, the hotel has been upgraded. Our room was nicely decorated and the public areas of the hotel had been improved. The breakfast selection was excellent and of good quality. However if you are sensitive to noise, you will find that the acoustics of the very large dining room are not helpful, it’s very noisy when busy. You might want to go early to avoid the busier times. The pool area is nice, with good views over the sea. However the area where we were relaxing wasn’t cleaned for the five days that we used the facilities, the same seeds and fruits from the palms remained undisturbed on the floor around the sun beds. We also found that some of the sun beds were a little tired and stained. The beach towels that we hired from reception looked worn and were on the thin side. Secure parking was available at €8 per day, adding €112 to a two week holiday.
The day that we were leaving we paid €23 to allow us a late check out (4pm). Later that morning, at 11:55am, a very aggressive member of reception staff rang us, she was telling us that we had not checked out of our room as required. I informed her that we paid €23 that morning to pay for the late checkout. The receptionist told us that we hadn’t. I informed her that we could identify the male member of reception staff who took our payment and could show proof of payment to Zenia Hotel on our banking app. Despite assuring her that we had paid for our late checkout, the receptionist repeatedly argued that we had not paid. I informed her that we would go to reception to show our proof of payment. When we got to reception, the receptionist who had called us wasn’t present . However the member of reception staff who had taken our late checkout payment, was present. We showed him the proof of payment and he said that he recalled us paying for the late checkout. He told us that he had forgotten to leave his colleague a note. The overly aggressive phone call, when we were accused of not paying for our late check out was completely unacceptable. This was made worse when the member of staff clearly considered our claim to have paid to have been dishonest, and she did give any consideration to the fact that we might actually have been telling the truth.
We will not be returning to Zenia Hotel or any other Servigroup Hotel due to how we were treated at Zenia Hotel by this member of staff, who was rude and overly aggressive. The individuals behaviour was completely unacceptable as a receptionist representing Zenia Hotel and the wider Sevigroup.

Dear Treoesman, We would like to thank you for returning to our hotel and for publishing your comment on Tripadvisor as knowing our guests opinion helps us to improve our service. We are happy to read that you liked the room decoration and public areas. We would like to apologize for the misunderstanding with the latecheck out service. We would like to clarify that due to an error we did not have noted that you were leaving later. Our staff called you as they did not have the payment reflected but they could not hear you properly as you were in the beach and language barriers also resulted in misunterpretations. Once again, please accept our apologies for the mistake which was finally solved. We hope that despite this aspect, you enjoyed your stay in our hotel. Kind regards, Customer Service Department. Hotel Servigroup La Zenia.

We paid Full Board, 4 adults 2 yr old and 3yr old babies..we had booked a Dissabled room, only one in the whole hotel, this has a view over a domed roof.. what are they thinking.. Omg...Also the hotel advertise they have 2 pools, one outdoor and one indoor..as the weather was poor and raining, we where to find we cannot use the indoor pool unless pay extra €9 each.. this is a disgrace, also advertised a Child play area, that was closed for the whole week. The evening meal time start at 19 30 thats far too late when you have small children. Also staff not very plesent and bar service is rediculas, 2 people serving a full room of people, they dont come to serve you. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone. My family have saved and spent a lot of money coming here and found it very dissapointing..

Dear guest, Thank you for the time you took publishing your comment on Tripadvisor as knowing our guests opinion helps us to improve our service. We are sorry to read that your stay in our hotel was not satisfactory. We would like to clarify that the playground area has not been closed at any time. On the other hand, we have only had one rainy day. The outdoor swimming pools have always been open and our customers have been swimming and sunbathing. With reference to the bar service, we would like to clarify that we have 2 or 3 waiters during the day and 5 waiters at night time. However, we have passed your comment to the corresponding department as our aim is always to improve our service. Regarding the dinner timetable, it is from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., we intend to adapt to all nationalities. We would have appreciated that you had informed us as our staff could have given you prepared baby food that is always available on the buffet or prepared something for you beforehand. Once again, thank you for your feedback and we do hope you reconsider the option of visiting us again in the near future. Kind regards, Customer Service Department. Hotel Servigroup La Zenia.

Definitely a kettle in the room for Tea/Coffee, more than one toilet roll in bathroom. I didnt get any notice about services like room service and nothing in the room either. Breakfast and DInner were awful and I got down 20mins after starting everything was cold, full of oil or grease, didnt know where anything was in the restauruant and noone asked to help. GOing full board and having to pay €3 for a bottle of coke with dinner is ridiculous. Its not really full board if no drinks at all are included. Asked to stay til 2pm in room as my apt wasnt ready and was told could move to another room for €23, this wasnt true that my room was needed as I left on a Bank Holiday Monday and nothing in the area was open. I was initially to stay for 3 nights but due to a death in the family I could only stay one and they kindly refunded my two nights which was a nice gesture but Im a receptionist myself in a hotel in Dublin and if rooms are free we let people check in / check out early / late depending on season etc but such a pity as back in 2018/2019 when I stayed last everything ran much better, I found the hotel not up to scratch at all this visit, even if just a flying one!!

My stay at Hotel La Zenia was a delightful experience from start to finish. The hotel exudes a pleasant and cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect retreat for relaxation. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of the place.

Andres from the animation team stood out for his exceptional service. Even on his day off, he was incredibly helpful in organizing activities, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to my time at the hotel.

Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the drinks, especially the Guinness, which was priced at only 6.70€!! This made unwinding at the hotel's bar even more enjoyable.

Bittersweet feeling has left me the hotel. Used to the Marina Playa de Mojacar, from the same chain, we thought that this being 4* superior would be better. Rooms spacious, clean and with good views without having contracted sea view. As part of improving, in the dining room several days we have found that 20 minutes before closing time there were no longer some of the dishes advertised and take a long time to replenish food so you waste a lot of time waiting. Of course, the quality of the product and the elaboration is quite good. Another aspect to improve is the pool, only a small part of it does not cover and people gather there. With the hotel full I imagine it will be overwhelming. And best of all, as in every hotel in the chain, its staff, in every department without exception. Very watchful of everything always. My congratulations to the staff. That's why I give you my 4*.

The water in the in-door swimming pool extremely cold. The short white male receptionist try to charge ÂŁ9.00 to use the facility even so it advertised as free.
The female receptionist tried to make me to pay a taxi ride from Zenia to Benidorm ÂŁ265.00, the actual price is ÂŁ140.00.
The internet in my room did not work, complained to reception every day, with no result.
The food is boring and bland.
Overall experience is a lousy place, will never go there again.

Dear guest, We thank you for taking the time to write a comment about your stay at our hotel, we regret that we have not met your holiday expectations, as for what you say about the pool water, we would like to indicate that the temperature is regulated to 28 ° C to comply with current legislation. On the other hand, we regret the misunderstanding regarding access to our wellness centre, our staff told you the price to access as it is not free admission, is required to enter the payment of a supplement, we regret the inconvenience you mention and we would like to mention that the service is not advertised as free. The guests can access the centre if they pay the supplement, or for an exceptional circumstance where we give a complimentary courtesy which is given with specific terms and conditions as an additional benefit for booking through our website at certain hotels and minimum nights of stay. Also, we apologize for the misunderstanding regarding the price of the taxi, at all times we seek the comfort of our guests so our staff made several enquiries in different companies that provide this service and have given different prices on the route you mention. Finally, we regret your experience with the internet, we assure you that it is not the normality of our service and if you had informed us repeatedly we would have sought a solution. We are sorry if our hotel did not meet your personal expectations and we hope you will reconsider the option of visiting us again. Kind regards, Customer Service Department. Hotel Servigroup La Zenia

Our party of four checked into the La Zenia on Feb 23rd. This was a first-time experience for us. The Receptionist (Carmen) was the essence of good welcome and professional interest in dealing with us. As we were early, our rooms were not ready, but Carmen serviced our every request. First impressions were certainly excellent. Our two twin bedrooms were adjacent on the third floor overlooking the most amazing beach imaginable, with a superb balcony (332/331). Both bedrooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, with a fine bathroom cum toilet, and oodles of wardrobe space. The safe is surprisingly free. The service staff were very friendly and helpful.
The reception area is tastefully attractive with floral arrangements, very comfortable relaxing settees and armchairs. A large public bar incorporating a sizeable dance floor and band stand where there is nightly entertainment and dancing is a feature of the ground floor. Table service by a very friendly staff, with a very affordable tariff was welcome. We availed of a full-board arrangement -it cost an extra €50 PH per week from the half board arrangement that we usually take. Maybe that is a seasonable offer?
Outside, the pool/sun beds/umbrellas are free in the most stunning pool area you could envisage. Sitting on top of a cliff this hotel gives a different dimension to opulence, location, and luxury. Being three times a year travellers for the past 30 years, it would be a difficult task to find a better holiday location than the La Zenia. It was truly superb. It is right up there with the very best of what we have been used to. In fact we were at one with the opinion that it was on top of the preference list.
We brought clothes in anticipation that there would be some cold weather. We were so lucky that the weather was absolutely brilliant for the entire week. We were aware that there were superb indoor facilities available like jacuzzi, hot pool, sauna, etc. There is a cost of €30 (I think) to use all the facilities.
The food in the spacious dining hall was very varied, with some International cuisine. All palettes were satisfied. The staff were terrific. The Lady making the omelettes was such a lovely human being.
The entire holiday will live long in the memory of all of our party.
Would we return?
It was an experience never to be forgotten. It certainly had the WOW FACTOR for us.
