We have stayed in the Manoir a few times, its a real find. Private, very peaceful location, beautiful rooms, and breakfast freshly made, excellent continental selection, beautifully presented. What more can I say. Perfect.

The Manoir du Meldick is a real gem. Approaching by road, there was a slight trepidation when I saw the "Bed & Breakfast" sign outside (I have a particular aversion to places in France that use English so prominently) but as soon as we arrived it was clear we had made the right choice. The hostess is very welcoming and... More

We wanted a stopover for one night on a shopping trip to Calais and Dunkerque, though very near to Calais the countyside is quite remote. We arrived late in the evening and found Daniele warm and very friendly. Our room was spotless and a welcome hostess tray was provided. Our breakfast was plentiful and all in all our stay was... We stayed here for one night on our way south. It's very easy to find from the ferry, however you need to map read as soon as you get off the boat. The farmhouse is out of main Calais and set in nice countryside and has secure parking. There is a restaurant about 4km away. We didn't try it but... More

We stayed here in February 2007 on a second visit - our first visit was in September 2002 on our first night on our way to Italy. Highly recommended especially if you are able to get one of the rooms on the second floor. The breakfast is very generous. The proprietor is absolutely charming. Although Le Manoir is pretty remote... More

The Manoir du Meldick wasn't our first choice, but as it turned out, we were delighted to have picked it. The house, standing alone in the middle of fields, about 10 minutes' drive from Calais, looks like any large brick farmhouse from the outside, but inside you enter another world. The place is jam packed with beautiful old furniture, books,... More
