This was our second time at Atelier, and it did not dissapoint. The Resort is beautiful and modern, food is amazing, the staff (with the exception of the people of the caffé near the lobby who are not very nice) is super friendly and always try to make your stay better. All the staff is very mindful of the Covid Safety measurement, and most of the guest, including us, were wearing mask while walking in the hallways, but you can take it out while in the pool, beach and restaurants. They also provide you kit a Covid prevention kit. They were around 40% occupation, so a lot of space between guests. We choose, as last time, the swimm out rooms, that I highly recommend. They gave us complementary snacks, and granted late check out. The app is very useful, you can see the activities, restaurants, chat with the consierge, etc. I really also enjoyed the gym, we took a couple of classes, and other activies that were really fun. Also service in the Spa was awesome, hydrotherapy circuit was really fun. Special recognition to Manuel and Jhordy in the beach, Patricia in the gym, and Alfonso in Mercado 19, they went above and beyond to make our stay amazing, they really make the difference to us, they were kind and friendly, and so helpful, we really hope to see them again in our next visit. Even after, my dad forgot a jacket, and they were kind enough to send it back to him. Overall, one of our favorite places in the world, we hope to go back soon! Thank you Atelier!…
This hotel has a lot going for it: - the pool: very big, clean, with extremely comfortable and plentiful loungers which are easy to move around, lots of sun shades and limitless, freshly laundered, good quality towels - food and drink: lots of choice, infinite supply, good food, beer, wine and cocktails included in your all inclusive deal. If you want to order from their wine list you can spend from a bit to a lot in each restaurant, and if you go to Maria Dolores, neither food or drink is included in the package. But otherwise, everything is. From the especially delicious tuna tostadas at El Suspiro to the flame grilled rib eye steaks at Los Abrazos, and the most delicious spring rolls at Takeshi, it's very impressive - the weather: I appreciate this is outside the control of the hotel, but its been really warm, with a lovely breeze, and barely any mosquitoes. Perfect! - the staff: almost all have been very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic despite what I perceive to be long days of hard work keeping all the guests happy - the hotel: very clean, well landscaped with lots of plants, great gym. This is a very well equipped hotel. Also really liked the econcierge facility for quick online chat enquiries, made extra easy by the Atelier app and excellent, reliable, strong WiFi literally everywhere at this hotel. A couple of minor niggles for me: - I was expecting at least some of the food to be spicy and it really wasn't. I get the need to cater for all palates so suggest doing what they do at the Cilento restaurant and leaving a pot of chilli flakes (or chilli oil), salt and pepper on each table - signage isn't great. When you've been here a few days it starts to make sense but when we arrived we weren't shown to our room but instead taken to a lift and told which floor to go to. We got lost, returned to reception and despite asking, couldn't get someone to show us. - the other guests: not helped by some very large groups attending the conference venue at the hotel and probably some all day drinking, some of the guests are seemingly unaware that this isn't exclusively their hotel. Very noisy and splashy and frankly self unaware. There are very few hotel rules (smoking areas, dress code in places, and not drinking in the pool) none of which were enforced by the staff - constant loud music by the pool. Mostly to my taste so generally not an issue for me, but when I could hear one set of tunes from the bar and another from the pool activity (eg aqua zumba) at the same time, it's less pleasant. In summary, a great value and high quality holiday probably best suited to sociable, lively guests who like to be entertained and get involved. Having said that, my husband and I are definitely not that kind of guest and we still had a great time and may well come back…
My wife and just completed our vacation at Atelier Playa Mujeres. We stayed a beautiful 7 days this week, 19-26 Feb. we booked the Inspira Junior suite Ocean Front w/Plunge pool. The views are breathtaking. The room was very clean and welcoming. The service at most restaurants was amazing. The food was great, but we believe lunch and room service are better than some of the restaurants. The Mercado breakfast buffet is wonderful. When we first arrived you could serve yourself, but now you can’t. I guess a Karen complained about everyone touching utensils. The hotel could supply everyone disposable gloves to use while grabbing utensils to serve. Lots of hotels around the world have adopted this concept. The Maria Delores restaurant, “their best” is beautiful. However, the food is not. I ordered the short rib. The presentation was gorgeous. The meat looked like it had been poured from can and mashed into a square. My wife ordered the octopus. It looked like a snake on a plate and was as chewy as salt water taffy. The Asian restaurant is very good. The food is excellent. The El Suspiro dinner is a hidden gem. Our waiter, Ramon, was a phenomenal host he made the experience outstanding and the food complemented the service. The Steak house is a wasted dinner. We ordered three steaks, the other two not edible. The call it a Brazilian Steak House Churrasco, that it is not. The service was awful. I had to make multiple request for water or more wine. I think our waiter was new, but that’s not an excuse. The beach was great, despite the sea grass, it was fun. The Inspira cabanas are awesome and the service too. Our BIGGEST complaint about the whole resort are the drinks at the beach. From the first day, our drinks were not good. I am quite certain the booze is watered down. My wife was drinking Mezcal Margaritas one day and we noticed you couldn’t even smell the mezcal. I went to a pool bar to get one myself and the drink was outstanding. Not blaming the wait staff, Hector, Jesus, Marcos and Fernando were great people. They went above and beyond to make us happy and when we complained about the drinks they started to bring us shots to add to our drinks. I hated it for them because it caused more work for them. We did notice a trend though. At the pool bars or if you bring your own tumblers, the drinks are what you would expect. We were just disappointed in the beach drinks as we paid for the Inspira and expected premium drinks w/ premium liquor. My second complaint is the plunge pool in our room and the broken light in our room. Our pool would drain water after every use and we needed to have maintenance refill it. The other was the broken lamp with exposed wiring. We noticed this first day. Our last day there the wind caught our curtains and pulled the light further from the wall. In 7 days with house keeping and maintenance in and out no one took the liberty to fix the light. I get it, they’re probably understaffed due to COVID, but this is a safety issue that went completely missed. I reported it to the front desk upon check out. Overall, this experience was amazing and we will be back in the summer. Hopefully some of the issues I noted will be fixed by then. The staff, the amenities and the facilities are above most all-inclusive resorts you’ll find in Cancun. See you soon.…
Beautiful, modern, elegant, luxurious ... cannot compliment it enough. Start with fabulous morning coffee and finish with an incredible gourmet dinner. Room was spacious and super modern, very comfortable. Great ocean view overlooking the pool area. Everybody here is very friendly and grateful to have you here. Please don’t forget to tip the staff because they absolutely deserve it. Overall one of the best places we’ve stayed.
The staff was AMAZING! Jorge and Ricardo were our pool and beach servers and they treated us like kings!! Our cups runneth over everyday thanks to them. The wedding staff did an awesome job making sure everything was perfect as well. The food, the drinks, the activities, the scenery was all worth every penny. We will definitely be back.
