Stay was okay, only can order food which they make in their own restaurant, the complimentary breakfast is not upto the mark and dont serve the portions for the amount or the number of people staying, no facility to make a tea or coffee,. No fridge , no safe keeping for valuables,. The natural pool is not clean full of tadpoles, the premises has leach too,. Rooms are clean and spacious but not enough towels and accessories provided, its just okay for a stay of one night, though staff is very courtious and try to make you comfortable the facilities need to be improved for the money we spend

I had booked a 3 day 2 nights package with them for my parents. From the initial communication to arranging the vehicle and all other services in the resort was very courteous. My parents thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the resort and the well planned itinerary for the sightseeing. The road to the resort is bumpy and in dilapidated condition, which is the only small drawback which we could find. The food was amazing too.Definitely worth it.

We recently had the opportunity to have a team outing during the Independence Day weekend. We finalized Wayanad as the destination and settled upon a relatively new resort ( Karapuzha Lakeshore Resort). Per our agreement, they had said that food had a specific cost per plate, and food was unlimited (concept – pay for a plate and eat as much as you can).
While the place itself is quite beautiful and well maintained, the same cannot be said of the service commitments and delivery. We reached on a Saturday afternoon, after a long and difficult drive through badly maintained roads. We had previously ordered lunch and lunch was ready. Here was the first experience we had the service – the resort hosts hold their food very close to their heart and absolutely refuse to part with it. We waited patiently for someone to come and give us some food. After about fifteen minutes of waiting, a worker came with a large pail of rice and a very small spoon. They serve rice in spoonfuls!! We were flabbergasted to see the sambar being served in small spoonfuls (three spoons per person), curry (two spoons per person). On begging for some more sambar, again the same issue , they absolutely refuse to part with their dear sambar, more than two spoons at a time.
While we put the above experience to being perhaps out of the ordinary, or the cook having a bad day, or the servers being surprised on seeing our large team, the dinner was again a repetition. The dinner was chicken curry and chapatti for the meat eaters and veg ‘gravy’ for the vegetarians. Suffice to say that the vegetarians had to cry themselves to sleep at night. The ‘gravy’ was nothing more than yellow dal. Chapattis were being doled out at two apiece and we had to literally fight for more chapattis.
This was the ‘unlimited meals’ we were being told about !!! Also, we were charged for ten extra chicken curries, since the host thought that we ate too much !! Come on!! Apparently, two chapattis and three spoons of chicken curry was considered unlimited food in this jungle. Add to this the shoddy service, we literally had to take the initiative to go beg things from the kitchen, come back and serve ourselves.
We spent two days in this resort and each day, the experience was literally the same. When it came to the day of paying the bills, we were not expecting any extra cost to the bill, we felt we were justified in thinking that a result of their shoddy service and bad food, the least they could do was not charge for unreasonable things. Wrong again!! The bill was overstated by at least ten thousand rupees. A careful perusal revealed about ten extra chicken curries (part of the ‘unlimited meals’ stated above, 500 rupees for a plate of fish fry (eight pieces), 40 rupees for a double omelet, and other sundry expenses.
Bargaining is something these people were very good at, and they proved it by refusing to cut down on anything. We came away with our wallets noticeably lighter and our stomachs lighter yet.
A resort is meant to be a getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, where the atmosphere is pleasing and relaxing. The antics of this resort people literally turned a beautiful and peaceful place into a nightmarish experience for all of us, and we for one, have literally had our fill of Kerala itself because of this one experience. This post is written with an intention to warn all future travelers about the perils of this resort and a request to the promoters of this resort (Karapuzha Lakeshore Resort) to please rectify their mistakes and learn how to work in the hospitality industry.

Families... Please don't even think about this resort!!!!!!

Drive to this resort is great mixed with Tea and Coffee estate.. definitely not easy to locate .. please call resort guys to guide you along with Google maps.
Good property with lots of coffee trees and pepper plants... lot of improvement required in food what they serve .. looks like they dont know how to prepare north Indian or Chinese .. so prefer south indian for food.
Room was clean but not upto standard, no worries as surrounding is great which really refreshes your senses with lot of variety of birds chirping....
Breakfast was good and thanks to all staff they were really nice and showed good hospitality for their guests....

I had been looking for a resort/homestay for the New Year eve. My search began pretty late and most of the resorts and homestays were already running full. The few i got were charging hefty without any reason. I came across this resort in yatra site. Was lucky enough to get a cottage here. We reached Wayanad on 31st night pretty late. I would suggest everyone who is heading for this resort to reach before sunset as you may get lost easily. This resort is located almost 20 kms from Sultan Bathery. The last 7-8 kms the road is pretty bad. Make sure you are travelling in a sturdy vehicle or atleast the car tyres are puncture resistant. The resort people guided us well to make sure we reach the resort and don't get lost.
The resort is located inside a coffee plantation, very much serene. This resort is a good choice for someone who is looking to relax. The lake is just 2 mins of walk from the resort. Manager of the resort, Jojo was courteous and very much helpful. We had booked a tribal cottage, but the cottage looked in a bad shape. He changed the cottage and shifted us in a pepper cottage sooner. The food was really tasty, unless you are not so fond of authentic Kerala food. Our stay was a good one in this resort. Thanks to Jojo and his entire staff for making our stay special.
However, one should avoid this resort if you worry too much about the road and you are a vegggie(i doubt availability of good veg food here).
You must carry a torch and mosquito repellant if you are planning to visit this resort. Overall it was a pleasant experience staying at this resort. A perfect weekend gateway for family and a group.

We had a great time in Karapuzha Lakeshore Resort, this place is close to nature as well as heart. Food is delicious and staff are very courteous. There is a trekking place just near to this resort. We had bonfire in the night. The kind of fun we had was ultimate. We will surely visit again.

Food - Awesome (For a non mallu, the puttu, kadala curry, the sadhya happy meal, the kerala barota and the curries was a treat. Please note, we preferred veg food).
Stay - Comfortable. The extra mile effort to make the stay extra cozy for we were on honeymoon package is worth appreciation.
Hospitality - Warm and accomodative.
Overall it was a beautiful weekend at karapuzha we will cherish for a long time to come.
