The resort is in isolated part near to kabini river and within some plantations and forests. Its a good location but the approach to the resort is via muddy road for almost 2 kms. The rooms are Average with tons of insects. There was no hot water facilities inside room. Room boys are served hot water in a bucket which is not sufficient. Dinner was good but for breakfast there was no other items apart from Kerala puttu.

The resort is in an isolated part within some plantations and forests. Its good location, but the approach to the Resort is via muddy roads.
The place is run by young boys who are enthusiastic but have no real knowhow of hospitality.
Food is average, and they prepare it 60-90 minutes after you order.

The rooms are unfortunately the worst part. Its elevated tree houses which are averagely clean, but thats about it. Tons of insects, slippery bathroom, noisy, no AC (which is fair), can hear other voices from other room, flushes etc! The pool is probably the only thing thats decent.

Breakfast was the simplest you can think of with 1 item or max 2 on some days.

Preferably avoid!

First things first. Pramod the host manager is very co-operative. His team works to please guests. The place is so peaceful and the proximity to wilderness made my insomniac mum sleep like a baby in many years. Don't want to forget that we felt quite safe here. Being a healthy veg food loving family, we give the restaurant service a clear five. Clean, fresh looking, tasteful decor and of course great food !

We travelled from Bangalore to Mysore and then to this place. Car park has space for about 6 cars within premises in the front.

This easily crossed the value-for-money line for me. Definitely recommend this one for a family getaway.

Bonus - Enjoyed the forest views along the way, we got to see many animals in their natural habitat as we travelled via Nagarhole on the way back.

Good property well maintained ,staff are very cooperative, rooms are spacious and comfortable.Be careful do not open and keep the door open otherwise insects will come inside the room. we stayed there for 2 days ( 11th and 12th march 2015) and opted for ginger room.

Food options are limited but what we ordered the quality was good.Acess to the resort is not good at all if u dont have your own vehicle then it is very difficult and roads to the resort are in very bad condition.

staff are very cooperative and helpful.I would recommend this resort only if you want to stay away from noise of city life and enjoy a village kind of atmosphere.

in all the trip was goood.........

Tucked a fair distance away from Kattikulam town, this resort is peacefulness personified. We tried the farm facing and the lake facing cottages here. The farm facing ones were splendid with cozy beds, neat bathrooms and a working wifi connection. The lake facing cottage however required some cleaning. We found a tiny scorpion and a couple of lizards in the cottage. The Kabini lake that runs almost parallel to the property is a big attraction. You can peacefully bathe here and walk back to your cottage. Coming to the food, for vegetarians the options were extremely limited with the taste not being so great. The dinners were delivered very late to our cottage and was not hot at all.

I was at Pepper Green Village on 14th Feb to 16th Feb, 2015.I would like to give you the most honest opinion, there is no bank of river and its no value for money.
1.The cottages are in worst shape with no maintenance, termites all over and noisy nights
2.The food is available only on request that too only 2 or 3 items of the whole menu are available, only if you order 2 hours in advance
3.Its in the middle of nowhere and there is no source of commuting
4.The cabs are booked at sky high rates and still you will be at driver's mercy on which area he wants you to take you to
Please don't stay at this place.

We stumbled upon Pepper Green Village on Tripadvisor. Being priced so low and having received 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor, it caught our attention. Mr. Pramod was helpful in guiding us to this place. Upon reaching this place, we were impressed by the greenery in this place and thought that it would be a great value for money option. However, our troubles were just beginning. The cons of this place outweigh the pros and I would definitely suggest that you think twice before visiting this place.

1. We asked if they could get us beer. They said they couldn't since they don't have a license. We then asked them to chill the beer we bought with us in the fridge. That was also refused. We were however given an icebucket for the beers.

2. The sesame rooms are tacky and small. The balcony is nice to sit during the evenings. The bed linen is stained and I woke up several times in the night because I felt something crawling on me. Next day, I also found spider webs in our hair and found crickets in the room. The room is almost unliveable.

3. They don't have most things you ask for. They didn't have Tandoori breads for dinner, butter or ghee. After we asked him to call the manager, they changed their answer and said that they have butter in the pantry. This is clearly an example of their bad service.

4. There is no security guard and anyone can enter the rooms at night. It is not difficult to break open the flimsy doors of the room.

5. The breakfast spread was sad. They had basic bread, butter, jam and some cold dosas and chutney. We almost decided to head out for breakfast. However, the closest breakfast place is some 6-7 kms away and we were forced to eat the cold thick dosas.

6. It is not on the banks of the Kabini river as they have described.

Because of their terrible service, we checked out a few hours earlier than we had originally planned. Request you to think twice before heading to this place. There are lots of options around Kabini river and please consider those before you think of Pepper green village.
