Spice garden farm house an Agro-Eco Tourism farm stay in Wayanad, Kerala where we grow food organically... Rather naturally. So, why is it called Agro-Tourism? Agro Tourism farm simply means, tourism at an agricultural place... A farm. How does a tomato grow? Do cardamom grow on trees like mangoes? Is cashew nut a fruit or a seed? How is rice grown before it lands into a super market or a store? What is nature's role in producing all of this, if a farmer grows this? Curious, aren't you? Spice garden farm house is the best farm stay in wayanad where you find answers to these questions. Here, we dream and strive to provide an earthy, peaceful and happy living amongst the farm full of betel nut trees, coconut trees, coffee plants, cardamom, clove, tamarind, nutmeg, bananas, rubber trees, select seasonal crops, fruits like mango, pineapple, pappaya, mud apple, Custard apple and vegetables and a lot of wild tree varieties. Fulfil your enthusiasm to live with a farmer.

Lovely family. Santosh, his wife, daughter and staff were all very friendly and helpful. You are a 10-15 min walk from the bus, or 20 mins auto from Sultan Bathery, but if you are like me, you will be happy just hanging around your terrace or down by the stream. Food is great. Rooms are comfortable. Wayanad area is spread out, so it’s hard to see the sights without an auto or scooter / car, but if you just want to chill, this is a great place to do so.

Santosh and his family provided us with an excellent experience on their eco farm. The food provided is fresh and grown on the farm which was delicious and interesting to learn about. It is a great place to relax and there are also a number of day trips available in the region if you want to explore beyond the farm.

My girlfriend and I had a great stay with Santosh and his lovely family. Santosh ensured that we were both well looked after and he had a wealth of knowledge about the local area. On one day, Santosh introduced us to a local Hindu festival which was really interesting and a great opportunity to experience the local culture in Wayanad. The farm itself is a great opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the big Indian cities and fully immerse yourself within nature. The rooms are spacious and there was plenty of room to practice yoga in the mornings. Also, his families cooking was delicious and full of flavour. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for idealistic escape from city life.

Spacious and clean room, with friendly and hospitable family making delicious food. The place is very peaceful and in the middle of nowhere, but it's surprisingly easy to get around with buses and autos. They have a big farm/garden which Santhosh can guide you through, however we were sorry to miss that opportunity.

This is a serene place to experience nature, relax, and slow down life's pace. It was wonderful to witness the bounty and abundance coming from the earth on this property, learn about the land, and eat the ingredients in fresh home-cooked Kerala cuisine. I enjoyed spending time here with the family.

We stayed with Santosh and family for five nights and would love to have stayed longer. It's peaceful, beautiful and comfortable. Food was wonderful! Good for the soul. Santosh and his lovely family are excellent hosts, friendly and knowledgeable. Staying here is the highlight of our trip so far.

Only tip would be to bring air plugs if you're a light sleeper. There's an overly enthusiastic rooster who starts singing quite early.

I cannot begin to say how much we enjoyed staying with Santosh and family at Spice Garden Farm, Wayanad: a beautiful small plantation in the middle of nature. Every day we were treated to their beautiful, tasty and healthy home-cooked food which we ate enveloped in the warm presence of the family members keeping us company and attending to all our needs. We had so much fun together!
During the day time we enjoyed some pleasant walks in the peaceful and quiet surroundings. We enjoyed meeting local people and had pleasant conversations with them, too. We could have stayed forever!

An awesome place to stay with your family!!
Santhosh and family are the most endearing of the folks I have seen in Wayanad, and we have established a special bond with him. Every time I travel to Wayanad, which is pretty frequent, I stay with my family at Spice Garden. Santhosh has also helped me find useful properties in Wayanad.

The Food is nothing short of magnificent. Santhosh's father (Chachan) goes to great lengths in explaining the flora and fauna in the premises, including varieties of vegetables. You can hear an occasional hooting of peacocks, there are some well-maintained Rabbits, and my kids enjoy chasing and scaring the hell out of the hens in the premises :-). You can take a walk thru the plantation, check out the tree hut, play in the small stream.

Altogether a great experience!!
