My 2nd visit to Wayanad - 4 of us stayed at Misty Meadows for 2 nights. This place is owned by Mr. Abishek who proved to be a very warm host. Talking about the property, its very close to the Karapuzha reservoir (approx 20 kms from Sultan Bathery, 15 Kms from Kalpetta). The rooms are very tastefully done, in addition to being kept spotlessly clean. Ditto for the washrooms. The food served to us was authentic Kerala cuisine and everything was prepared to perfection - all credit to Abishek's mother. Would love to stay here again, whenever I visit Wayanad again.

Misty Meadows was a lovely hide-away in the wayanad hills as a stop-over during our trip from Mysore to Cochin.
It's a well managed new homestay with 4 rooms with splendid views over the valley.
The environment is especially intersting for hiking, biking around the lake and into the spice-fields. I regret we hadn't a day more for an extensive biking tour.
Abishek and his team will do everything to make your stay memorable (clean rooms, good food, etc.). Well recommended!

We had a great and comfortable stay at Misty Meadows in April. The place is scenic and the rooms were tastefully done up and clean. Abishek the host is a very amiable host and took care of our needs very well. The food cooked by his mother and aunt were delicious and healthy. We will go back at the earliest opportunity,

we had a wonderful stay at misty meadows and stayes 4 nights under the hospitality of abhishek (host) having work experience in five star hospitality who was customer centric and always a bell away, and his mom who cooked sublime south indian delicacy with finesse. the homestay is tastefully built and surrounded by nature in abundance with coffee, banana, areca, pepper, cardamom, rubber plantation, with good bird life and treks to explore nearby with abhishek guiding the guest. it was one of our best holidays and much better than the hotel stay. it is hospitality with passion, soul and not with mind and calculation.

Me and my family visited wayanad in May 2011; we booked the stay online and were skeptical about the stay and location. However our doubts were put to rest when we reached misty meadows..!

Misty meadows - a homestay amidst dense green lands of wayanad and along the karapuzzha reservoir.. it truly is a home stay in every sense with delicious mom-made south indian food.. a caring house-help, clean and well designed home with spacious rooms, balconies overlooking a breath-taking view and silent meadows...!!

The hospitality has overwhelmed us especially because everything from the stay, travel from airport, sight seeing, shopping, kerela-massage etc was taken care off by the hosts.

We completely recommend wayanad as a picturesque location and when at wayanad the stay should be at misty meadows for a peaceful and pleasant one..!!

A beautiful hinestay with fabulous views of palm trees.Abhishek the host was extremely helpful and made the long drive from coorg to Waynad easy with concise and clear directions. He also suggested the right amount of sightseeing trips which did not tire us aa we planned to drive to pondicherry from waynad. The simple home cooked was awesome and Abhishek and his family went out of the way to prepare my favourite breakfast item. All in all a lovely stay and I sure recommend Misty Meadows to all who are looking at a weekend break to Waynad.

We stayed at Misty Meadows - Vazhavetta / Kalpetta in Wayanad district for 2 nights - 25th and 26th Dec 2014. The property is a no-frills, completely made-to-feel-at-home homestay, which you will very likely fall in love with. A relatively small (what else would you expect from a homestay) property - with nicely manicured lawns - and an somewhat direct view of the lake from the balcony...More than everything, the host (Abhishek) takes care of everything one needs, without as much as a sweat..The food (breakfast and dinner, provided complementary) is totally awesome - as it is made by his Mom - and while the spread is not lavish, the quality beats everything else. Moreover, our kid quickly made friends with kids of other families staying there, thereby making it a very family like holiday...A great place to put your feet up and relax and enjoy the hospitality of Abhishek and his family...

We never had difficulty in reaching the place because of Abhishek's guidance. Travel plan started before reaching the destination at ease. Ancestral touch of the spacious bedroom and restroom reminded us of our grandparent's home. It was lively with Bettu's (pet dog pug) naughty activities. The view from our balcony was mind blowing with misty mornings and chirping of birds apt for the name "Misty Meadows". The food prepared by Abhishek's mother was tasty especially sevai. We had a personal medical attention by Abhishek's father which was of immense help. Housekeeping was excellent and Prakash was always there to help us. Travel plan and guidance by Abhishek was leisurely. Misty Meadows for us was home away from home.

I stayed at this place last year in June and am writing this feedback to warn people. Please do not stay here in summer. The room is on the western part, top floor and has flimsy curtains. It is horribly hot inside, the sun streams through till after 6:30pm! It was so hot that I ran away after just one night although I had paid in advance for 2 days/ 2 nights. The owner conveniently stays in the cooler lower part of the house and has not put an a/c or cooler in the rented room, not even a standing fan. I asked for a different room or something for the heat. The owner did not bother. I am not sure why the website states 4 rooms, there is certainly none available! The bed is broken, the mattress is a horrible spring foam, and I preferred to sleep on the floor. Don’t go to the bathroom in the night. The place is crawling with big black ants, the ones with sharp pincers, literally looked like some sci-fi horror movie. There are no restaurants or even a tiny convenience store for milk or bread for miles around, so you are at the mercy of whatever the owner cooks for you. Please get your own car if you decide to visit, no cabs/ autos etc. The place is completely cut off and in the middle of nowhere.
