Visited for lunchtime with a friend. We both ordered soup from a very tired and dog eared menu. The soup that arrived was watery, lacking seasoning and accompanied by half a slice of white butter each and a pot of butter to share! Just wholly disappointing for us both I will not go back. If I had not been with...

Stayed here last night. On arrival the staff wore extremely friendly, we wore shown our room which was large and spacious with a very nice size bathroom. Everything you needed apart from an iron was provided, but managed to improvise with hair straighteners! We went for a walk around the village before settling at our table in the restaurant. The...

We had lunch here on Sunday 2 April, the food was lovely, reasonably priced and very hearty portions in a nice, relaxed atmosphere with great views of Frampton Mansell. It was a really sunny day so we sat outside but whilst inside ordering food and drinks you can't help but notice how cosy the pub would be on a colder...

This has been a real favourite of ours but I am sorry to say we had a very poor meal here recently. The fire was mean looking for a start even though it was very chilly outside and then our food was very disappointing too. All of us felt the same. We had starters which we thought lacked flavour and...

Stay here regularly for Cheltenham Festival. Perfectly acceptable accommodation - quiet, lots of parking. good breakfast and friendly staff. The bar and restaurant, though, are what makes this place special. Atmosphere, character and good food and wine, backed up by good service even when very busy

Our family celebration was made more memorable by our stay here. It would have been nice to stay longer and enjoy the surroundings more. Maybe next time. However, I must mention the particularly welcoming and friendly staff, who were superb.

Nice country setting, roaring fire & full of locals. Good attentive staff, nice wine & local beers! The food is really good, home cooked & decent portions, we had to force a dessert down, I say force because they sounded so good we couldn't not have one, we weren't disappointed either.

We stayed at The Crown Inn for 2 nights, booking it the day before we travelled. We had a double room but needed enough space for our little girls travel cot and the hotel obliged, the room was huge! It was also immaculate and very comfortable. We booked to eat in the restaurant for both nights. The fires were roaring...

Frampton Mansell is in a lovely part of the Cotswolds - plenty of scope for scenic walks here. The pub fits in well with the surroundings - it's got three rooms around the bar, with one room set up for dining (though people were dining in all three when we were there). The food is a good mix of meat,...

Stayed here for valentines night on our way somewhere - booked 2 days before. We chose it for its old charm and history along with their restaurant. It's certainly very remote and would love to return in the summer and sadly it was a very quick visit. We arrived at 8pm - table booked for 8.30. Quick check in and...

Nestling in the Cotswold village of Frampton Mansell lies the Crown Inn. A seventeenth century ‘cider house’ that is steeped in history and is, quite simply, a perfect village pub.Roaring log fires; delicious, traditional, home-cooked food; fine, locally brewed real ales; a stunningly beautiful building dating from 1633 and of course, good company.Add to this a very well appointed 12-bedroom hotel annex, ample car parking and simply exquisite views across the golden valley and you have the precise recipe for a relaxing and enjoyable venue. ... more   less
