Once again a marvellous short stay at the Farmers Boy Inn, rooms are more beautiful than ever. The staff team are so friendly, knowledgeable and hard-working, they just make any stay brilliant. Food and hospitality second-2-none, it's quite right that the saying should fir for them, small but perfectly formed. Thank-you Phil and your team, long may you reside.it( is...

We met up with family from Wales here. Fabulous welcome, fabulous food and will definitely be back. Phil the owner was very friendly and came over to introduce himself at breakfast. We were shown round the place. He's obviously very proud of what he's achieved. Well done

stayed 2 nights while visiting the local area. the accommodation is clean, cosy and basic but all that you need and expect however, where F.B.I.really shines is the welcome and attention you receive from the friendly staff.[ who were all excellent]. It really is a pleasant change to stay somewhere where the staff are not just 'going through the motions' but really...

Fantastic stay! Room was clean and cosy, food was amazing lots of choice, young lad behind the bar really friendly! We just wiser there was an event on the evening but the atmosphere in the restaurant made up for it couldn't fault anything. We will definitely be returning in the summer with friends.

Stayed last minute for a couple of nights during the Easter holidays with the kids and our puppy. The staff and service are exemplary. Professional and friendly right from the start. The pub itself has a warm and inviting vibe and the home cooked food is very high quality and reasonably priced. Plenty of little footpaths dotted around to take...

I had stopped at the FB on two previous occasions, once for lunch and the other for dinner. On the strength of these two visits I elected to stay the night with my wife, in part to celebrate my birthday. The staff are extremely friendly/courteous and the room was more than adequate. My only problems were the chefs special, a...

We received a lovely welcome and the staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. We met friends for what was a fabulous evening meal. The Fish and chips and the Hunters Chicken were delicious. It's great that the rooms are away from the main building as this was convenient for taking our dog for a walk last thing at...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Simply put, we love food. Not just for what it is, but for the experience that accompanies it. Homely surroundings, great company and conversation, attentive waiters, who become friends and of course fine wines from around the world. After a evening of gastro food delights, gourmet pies and laughter infront of the open fire retire to our courtyard of boutique individually designed rooms and drift off, to wake up to the sounds, sights and smells of the idyllic gloucestershire countryside. Followed of course by a hearty breakfast and maybe a stroll up the majestic May Hill ... more   less
