A family run, cozy hotel right on the town square. The owners were attentive and offered us lots of useful advice about schedules for buses and lifts back up to TMB. I liked the quirky details, definitely not a cookie cutter hotel, it's a lovely old fashion European hotel.

Stayed in August while hiking in the mountains. Location: 5/5 - right in the middle of Argentiere, walking distance to restaurants and close to hikes Room: 3/5 - clean but old. Not the charming ‘old school’ old. Rather the ‘needs serious update’ 80s old. Carpets gross - can surely tell a lot of stories. Staff 2/5 - doing the bare minimum of checking guests in and taking payment. When asked to help with a lift ticket reservation Agnes flat out declined in a rude manner, without as much as a sorry. Would not offer guidance on how to reserve and said she does not have the time to talk about it. Price 4/5 - relatively cheap vs other hotels in the area but hardly a value given the lack of amenities. Verdict - Would only stay here if other hotels were booked, if all you need is a bed to sleep in a good location, and don’t mind a complete lack of staff courtesy.

Great family-run hotel. Bernard and his wife (the owners) were lovely and super-helpful in every way. Staff were kind and friendly. Good breakfast. Great views from the room. Measures against Covid were ideal and made us feel very safe. Would definitely recommend to others and go back ourselves. Great central location on the main street had made us slightly worried about risk of noise, but the room was quiet and comfortable, and we got a great night's sleep. Stayed 2 nights.

With 3 pals we had an abbreviated, cut shot by Covid19, stay at La Couronne last month. From the moment we arrived the welcome and service offered by Bernard and his team was superb, nothing was too much trouble. When the resort was shut he insisted we could stay as long as we needed until onward travel plans were confirmed, and offered us the use of the kitchen as we required. I will undoubtedly be back here next year and would ask that, when this craziness is over, we all rush back to support independent hoteliers like this. These people are there when we need them, so we need to make sure we return the favour and not head somewhere else to save a few $s. Bernard and team - a huge merci.
