The hotel offered good service and had a flexible staff ready to give service anytime. The bus and the train is close by. The hotel also offered good breakfast and served coffee and tea in the morning.
Simple but awesome place to stay. They really make you feel at home and Ben is very helpful in making sure you arrive easily and safely. He texted me the the bus schedule to help me get there. I also unfortunately had to switch hostels because I didn't book far enough in advance and needed to add one more night. He helped my find another hostel and helped me book it! I also left something at his hostel after the transfer and he saw my walking back to his hostel to get it. He drove down picked it up and brought it to me. Absolutely above and beyond. As for the actual hostel. It is a simple hostel with a solid breakfast that includes bread from a local award-winning bakery. It was clean and organized with good WiFi. The common room was nice to hangout in and the have a nice patio area with decent view of the mountains. Located a 5 min walk from center of town making it easy to get around town for shops and restaurants. Also 5 min walk to train station so it is easy to get to chamonix or anywhere else you would like to go. Definitely would recommend.…
Great place to stay when adventuring in Chamonix. Close to the lifts at Grands Montets and EPIC chocolate brownies after hitting the slopes. Great value and location, staff are friendly and welcoming!
The Gite le Belvedere is situated merely five minutes from the lift up to the Grand Montets. Not only was there a wide variety of breakfast available (very good for skiers!) but also the team working there were wonderfully helpful, cheery and flexible. The rooms were clean and of a good size with an easily accessible boot room downstairs. It was all very good value and we really enjoyed the stay there and look forward to going back!
Excellent choice for skiing the entire Chamonix valley. Ben and his friendly team made our stay most enjoyable. The Belvedere isn't for travelers looking for luxury and plush surroundings. It's rustic, casual and comfortable. Best value for the money. The breakfast is bountiful and the inexpensive dinners are delicious. The nearby Fubar serves all the choices in front of a wide screen showing all the downhill thrills, spills and chills. La P'tite Verte further up the street is an excellent alternative restaurant. Must book either 7 or 9 pm. Looking forward to staying at Gite le Belvedere again next year.
