Stayed up North on business. Haven't stayed in a Travelodge before, normally use premier Inn. Needed a nice clean room plush a good shower, and it was.

If you take the cycle path - walking route at the rear of the hotel along the side of the Tyne it's a short pleasant walk to the Metro Centre without the hassle of traffic. You only have to cross when you reach the centre.......much better than crossing at the very busy junctions.
