We were staying at Ross Bay Retreat and decided to go for a meal at Borgue Hotel as the reviews were so good. The reviews are spot on!! This place is great. A lovely warm friendly welcome from the landlord and fab pub food. We had steak pie and then chocolate fudge cake and sticky toffee pudding - and it...

Great place. Comfortable bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Village pub at rear of property which serves fantastic pub grub. The hospitality is outstanding. Great friendly atmosphere. Will be back very soon.

We visited The Borgue Hotel for a meal while staying in the area. Lovely friendly welcome from Martin and Michelle. Great homemade meal in the cosy bar area. We asked about the rooms and Martin was happy to show us around the impressive B&B accommodation.

Had my 60th birthday here with family and friends, buffet was outstanding as was the hospitality, huge thank you to Michelle, Martin and staff, would definitely recommend , been before for a meal which was also delicious

We visited the Borgue Hotel (all 17 of us, 6 under 6) and were greeted by wonderful hospitality and perfect 'pub grub'. Nothing was too much trouble and this was even with only one staff member on duty (cooking too); all thanks to calling her friend to come and help :). The food was spot on - Scampi, burgers, pie...

Went for drinks only here whilst on holiday in the area The owners were great chatty the food looked good The menu was small but I think that's because it was the end of the season Dogs are allowed in the bar and there were several well behaved dogs in while we were there Would recomend

We found this place by accident having been given a less than warm welcome for our dog in an establishment in Kirkudbright.The chap behind the bar could not do enough for us,thats me ,my husband and my 89 year old (going on 40) aunty and the dog!My husband requested egg,chips and beans,no problem even though not on the menu and...

We stopped at Borgue Hotel for a drink as we had stayed at hotel 36 years ago. It has recently been taken over and although it had changed very little the new owners plan to upgrade but intends to keep some of its character. We decided to return at night for food and which was very good and very reasonable...

A friend booked us in for a meal and mentioned it was our anniversary. On arrival we were shown to a table in the guest dining room. Martin & Michelle had put a card and flowers for us on the table which was a lovely surprise. The food was delicious steak pie full of beef and a tasty chicken korma....

Such a lovely welcome from a lovely couple that run the Borgue hotel. The rooms a spacious, clean and well equiped. and being a small establishment, can cater for any requests. Pet freindly and a real hub of village life. Heartly recomend the full Scotish breakfast.. Kept me going all day, and then, the fabulous Borgue Hotel steak pie... Mmmm.....
