Friendly welcoming hotel. May be in need of extensive maintenance but it was clean and tidy. The management and staff get 10 out of 10 and in particular Carly who, although part time, is an asset to this establishment. Nice menu and enjoyable food. Although...More
I was in one of the annexe rooms, which had a rather chalet-like feel. They had clearly made an effort to work with a tricky space, and the furniture and fabrics were interesting and quirky, but everything else was just a bit average. The 'wardrobe'...More
We stayed at the Hotel as it was convenient for the Bombay Sapphire Distillery, and it was very convenient- just a bus ride away.

We stayed here overnight as visiting the Bombay Gin factory. Very friendly fun staff, who always had time to a laugh and joke with us. Rooms were comfy and had everything needed for an overnight stay. We ate dinner here and it was very nice...More

Bombay Sapphire is about 2 miles away. Taxis are not the easiest thing to sort but both the 76 and 86 Hampshire Stagecoach bus runs from Whitchurch to Basingstoke and stop right outside the distillery so that would be your best bet. Alternatively on a nice day you could take the Mill Trail walk and walk to and from Whitchurch to the Distillery in Laverstoke. It would be a bit muddy this time of year in places but is only 2 to 3 miles and a level walk.
