My brother and I attended the 2015 Anzac Commemoration in Gallipoli. After a week in Istanbul touring the battlegrounds, we traveled to Belgium and spent another week touring the Western Front. We stayed the first 4 nights at B&B Amaryllis. I had originally booked every night of this week in a different location but Andre was the ONLY Host to...

My wife and I stayed at Andres B&B in April as a base to explore the surrounding WW1 battlefields. It is centrally located to all of the main Australian sites. There are several sites within walking distance but is best done with a car to see all of the battlefields in detail. The Menin gate is a short drive away...

This was our second visit to Andre at Amaryllis but this time with friends who wanted to visit the WW1 battlefields. As before the hospitality was excellent, the bedrooms clean and the breakfast more than enough. Andre is knowledgeable and very helpful which ensured that our stay was well worth the journey. Our second visit was just as good, if...

This was my favourite place to stay during a recent trip to Europe. The owner, Andre, was a fantastic host - friendly, funny, knowledgable. The premises were spotless; the room with ensuite and sitting/study area was expansive, modern and extremely comfortable; and the breakfast was both delicious and enormous! Andre's English is excellent and his knowledge of WWI, and Belgium...

The B&B was very clean and Andre the owner a great person and full of information. He was very accomodating and provided excellent breakfasts every day. The location is in Zonnebeke which is a very quiet little town outside of Ypres. Be prepared though that the streets roll up at night and there are very few eating establishments that are...

My husband and I spent 3 nights in André's wonderful guesthouse. The bedroom was immaculate and extremely well equipped. Breakfast was outstanding. André is a most considerate and helpful host who was able to advise us in our search for World War 1 family links. We hope to return soon, certainly in 2018 to celebrate the centenary of the end...

Lovely clean b&b with excellent service and location for visiting the area. Only 10 mins from Ypres. Andre is a very knowledgeable host on the surrounding area and couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely stop again.

This is a delightful B&B which I highly recommend. We spend two days here and our room, which was well fitted out with many nice little touches, was very comfortable. The B&B is owned by Andre who is a friendly, hospitable host with a wealth of knowledge about the local area. An excellent base from which to explore the WW1...

Spacious, with designer interiors done with superb taste and attention to detail, comfortable beds and quiet, with ample parking. Fresh eggs, courtesy of André's two chickens, every morning! We had a 'family' photo taken with the chickens. The breakfast was copious and excellent. But the welcome and hospitality was what made it extra special: we were offered a slice of...
