Beautiful B&B with great and new facilities. Very comfortable bedding with great bathroom. Free WiFi was good. Andre is great and greets you with tea/coffee and cake. His English is very good and speaks a few more languages. Breakfast superb with croissants, rolls, tea, coffee, meats, cheeses, juice, yogurt, eggs (cooked the way you like), homemade jams, just brilliant. Very... More

We greatly enjoyed our two day stay here. The room was big, clean and fully equipped with little touches like a UK power adaptor already there for us and the bathroom was excellent. The location, just outside Ypres and within walking distance of the Paschendale Museum, was perfect for a battlefields tour and was just a five minute drive from... More

We were greeted with coffee and cake when we arrived and the owner Andre was on hand to provide really helpful information about the local area. We parked right outside and we left the car there whilst we walked to some local war cemeteries and a fantastic museum. There are also a few nice places to eat within a 10... More

Amaryllis was an excellent B and B to stay and we would echo to the letter the comments made by Gingerdreamer. This really is a splendid B and B, centrally located for so many of the memorials and features of this WW1 area, though a car seems essential to make the most of the area. Andre was an excellent host,... More

Amaryllis is B&B perfection. Tidy spacious room in a quiet area. Cable tv, wifi and an excellent hearty breakfast. Andre is extremely helpful and will help you with planning your tours around the area. Plenty of parking area just outside the front door. If you are looking for a place to stay to visit WW1 sites look no further. I... More

If you look at the website for Amaryllis it is entirely true to life. We stayed just the one night (and would have wished to stay longer) and spent a most enjoyable time. Andre was very welcoming (cold drink and cake on a very hot day), and our room was immaculate. He had already pulled the blinds in our room... More

My husband, myself and another couple stayed for one night recently at B & B Amaryllis. We were greeted with a lovely cup of tea and slice of apple tart which was gorgeous. The rooms were both very roomy, bright, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The en-suite was huge too with a great shower. Tea and coffee making facilities were available.... More

We echo all the previous reviews having spent 3 nights here! Our priorities are comfy beds, clean bathrooms, free wifi and free parking, and a delicious breakfast, and the Amaryllis had all this plus more courtesy of genial host Andre (a great ambassador for Belgium) who took a personal interest in making our stay enjoyable and worthwhile Our days were... We stayed here for a couple of nights to see some of the Great War Monuments. The location is excellent, the rooms very nice and clean, and the host is helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. Would stay here again.

We have just returned from a two night stay at Andre's. The B&B was a perfect location for all the popular WW1sites. Andre was a perfect host and welcomed us with a much needed cup of tea and biscuits on our arrival. The rooms were of the highest standard - very clean with comfortable beds. The breakfasts were excellent and... More
