We really loved this place! The room was very quaint & cozy. There was a small fridge with 2 bottles of water and a Lavazza coffee maker with pods included was a nice surprise! The owner Laila was really nice and answered our questions quickly by email. The village is really special at night and in the early morning when all of the tourists are gone. We hope to return someday!

This tiny locanda (inn) sits right on the main square. Looking like a beautifully staged movie set, perch yourself on the little patio, enjoy a glass of wine or espresso and have a perfect view of this enchanting village. Not much to do, but a great place to not do much. Don't expect luxury accommodations, but the location is fantastic.

We arrived at this little B&B after dark, having made our credit card guaranteed reservation months in advance, and reconfirming before our departure. Guess what. No one was there and after phoning the posted telephone nuumber we were told we had no room! Keep in mind this is a location you have to haul your luggage about 600 yards and over an uphill foot bridge. We were never given an explanation but understand overbooking is not rare. This is absolutely unacceptable hotel policy. We were about to leave in disgust when a lovely lady that had been told of our predicament invited into her her home to stay the night! I would highly recommend a stay in Civita but I would never recommend the Locanda. If you do go to Civita, plan to stay overnight at the Civita B&B. It is operated by a responsible owner, Franco. They were booked up or we would have stayed there as well. Civita is bombarded by day trippers! Hordes of them. This really ruins the charm of the place. However, they all leave by the evening so its really nice to be there then and in the early morning.

This fabulous B&B was once a monastery. The place has a wonderful feel to it, just like the tiny town within which it sits. If you're going to visit Civita di Bagnoreggia then go late in the afternoon and stay the night. You'll watch the sun set over the mini canyons down below, and the sun rise over the twelfth century brick buildings. The owner/manager doesn't speak much English but the welcome is warm and the service is great. Our room had whitewashed walls and ceiling and a big comfortable white bed. I don't usually have much to say about a bathroom, but this one has bushes and trees just outside the window giving privacy yet letting you leave the window open. It has a two tiered sink made from what looks like a flat boulder, and the water drops from one tier to the next below.

The hotel is a little charming boutique style B&B, in the very middle of the enchanting Civita di Bagnoregio. Rooms are spacious, extremely clean and incredibly full of character, thanks to a careful restoration that preserved original aspects and style. The bathroom, with the river stone sink, was a joy for the eyes. I visited during the summer, so no problem related to temperature, and I do agree on the previous comments about the improvements that would make your stay really perfect: the electric cable in the bathroom was still there, although it didn't require the window to be open (good), and the toiletries choice could be improved. Everything else was extremely good, including the breakfast, served in the nearby "Pozzo dei desideri", with a good choice of cereals, fruit, cakes, various jams from the vase, bread, juices and so, and the service: I arrived late, but it was easy to organize key collection on the phone, and when I arrived in Civita I was welcomed by the owner of the "Pozzo dei desideri" with a proper smile, the keys, all the information needed and some recommendations for dinner and so. The morning after I returned the keys at the owner's shop and could leave the luggage in the room for as long as i wanted while I enjoyed a walk around Civita and breakfast, even after the check-out time. Downside: you need to leave the car outside the little village and walk up a steep climb to reach Civita, and regarding the rooms there are lots of steps that could trouble people with walking problems, but I think it's normal in a medieval location, and it contributes to the splendid isolation of the place
