The camp is so peaceful after the Trans Siberian. It is about 90 minutes drive but the park itself is worth it. We visited start of October so only one other couple staying. The Gers are very comfy and a great experience. The fire was lit when we arrived and the young girls keep it going for you, even stoking...

We had an excellent experience at the Tamir Wellness Camp where we stayed as part of a Real Russia Trans-Mongolian Train Tour. The ger was clean and spacious and very comfortable - we slept incredibly well during our stay. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean and there was plenty of hot water - we heard from other travellers on our train...

Nice hosts and nice location. Food is okay. No dessert though (dessert is ubiquitous throughout Mongolia) and you have to buy (in dollars) coffee if you want one which also seemed odd as the 11 other camps we stayed in all provided it for free. Sadly, although the showers are hot and the pressure is good, our ger (at the...

We had one night at this beautiful camp. Picturesque, comfortable, very clean, loved the food ( some of the best we had in Mongolia and all the food was good). When we went for a tour the next day we realised what a perfect position our camp was in....away from the road and all the other camps giving us silence...

About 90 minutes from the city, this national park hasa multitude of camps dotted around. I was delighted to find that Tamir us set at the head of casually Valley so no passing traffic and perfect acoustics for the cuckoos! The girls greeted us warmly and insisted on carrying our luggage up the gentle slope to our gher. This as...

Thanks for the organization; from the pick-up service, the horse back riding, to the visit of the monastery & the world record Gengis Khan statue, everything was perfect. The location is perfect, camp is a bit hidden from the others and sceneries around are amazing. Gers (Yurt) are cosy (4 pers max) & functional with electricity & wood burning stove....

At 5pm we were sitting in our hostel not really looking forward to spending our last night in Mongolia in Ulanbaatar and thought, 'F@#% it - let's get out of here!' So we packed our bags, organised a driver through our hostel and drove straight to Tamir Wellness Camp in Terelj National Park (about 1hr15min and cost $US45). Best decision...

One of the best choices if you wish to spend one or two nights in the National Park, but don't have a car, because it is served by a local bus (ckeck timetables ahead) several times a day (you onle have to walk 1200 m from the bus stop). You can spend a whole week here, but I would recommend...

Beautiful, hidden place ( you don't see the main road of the National Park) run by nice and extremly friendly people. However, they do not speak English, so we had to use our poor Russian :-) Ger was a great experience. There were some problems with electricity and water but it is pretty common in Mongolia, so we just treated...
