This is a beautiful old country house with classic decision and furnishing. Don't expect TVs and air conditioning! There owner is very friendly and the food is off a high standard. Prepaid must impressive are the immaculate, yet old solids wood staircases that go up for storeys. Not fast from Pamplona or San Sebastian.

Beautiful ancient stone structure in a charming location. DO NOt rely on GPS when you are almost there. The GPS will send you behind an old church across the street from Etxeberri Ostatua, and it won't be pleasant as the trail is super narrow and difficult to navigate. Use a paper map. Loved this place and Juan Jose is a...

Stayed here with our saluki lurcher for one night to break the long journey from Le Havre to the south of Spain. A bit difficult to find in the dark, the hotel itself off the road in the main street, opposite the church. Once we called, the manager came out onto the road to greet us. Our room was on...

Hidden away, about 40 minutes drive from San Sebastian, in a small village with sheep grazing on the hillside and more or less nothing else, we did not know what to expect. We were graciously greeted by the hostess and taken to our room on the third...

if you have the misfortune to find yourself booked into this hotel, brace yourself for disappointment. It is an extremely basic place and no fun to drive to in low cloud/drizzle or after dark. No food available on our 7pm arrival, despite advertising a magnificent 5-course menu in the restaurant. Apparently you have to prebook, but there were no means...

We've stayed here on our route from San Sebastian (40 min drive) to Pamplona. Set in an amazing village with a more amazing view there's Exteberri Ostatua. Hosted by a super friendly, only basic English speaking, man in a fantastic oaken house (be aware of the cracking noises when you're walking around). We've had the breakfast, everything self made, with...
