A comfortable hotel with a natural atmosphere that can make us escape for a moment from fatigue. Located in a strategic location, close to Jawa Timur Park 3, the center for souvenirs and restaurants, and the hotel’s location is before entering the city of Batu. The location is not directly on the main road, but through a small alley before heading to the hotel. Suitable for those of you who want to vacation with family, and want to take a good rest for a moment from all the noise of the city. There are superior, deluxe room types and cottages that are surrounded by beautiful and comfortable natural views. The hotel is also equipped with a good restaurant, perfect for selfies or take a picture with friends or family. Breakfast is standard, the menus are not too much. There are toilet amenities in the room, but room slippers are not available. Toilet is clean. Mineral water is available in the room, and can be refilled. There is a fridge in the deluxe room type and above. The view at night is also very beautiful seen from this hotel, especially the view of Malang City. TV is available in the room, but with limited channels. The drawback of this hotel is that there is no Air Conditioning in the room, so it feels quite hot during the day, especially during the summer. But still cold at night, because of the cold air from outside that enters the room. Wifi is also not smooth. Overall, I give 3 stars for this hotel.

We just spent 8 nights at Kampung Lumbung and it was wonderful! The staff are really amazing and dedicated to ensuring guests have the best possible experience.
The food is just delicious and very varied. Breakfast is an authentic Javanese experience and we always go for the traditional Indonesian food, though an American/continental breakfast is also available.

The rooms are spotless and comfortable with marvellous views. We always stay in the hotel rooms on the 1st floor for the view of Mount Semeru and the tropical gardens. Batu city is close by and easily accessible by taxi/Grabcar. Batos shopping centre has a great supermarket and other shops and is only 10 minutes away by car. Malang city is only 20 minutes by car and offers lots of shopping/restaurant options. This was our 7th time staying at Kampung Lumbung and it has become our home away from home. Bambang and Yani always try to make sure we have a wonderful stay, as do all the staff. We will be back in 2023!

You must stay in here if you are in Batu. The place was so nice, the ambience, the food, the service and they adopt the 'eco' concept. I will back again for sure! Its located near main road. Try their wedang at night, will make u warm, and at morning you should try the soto and rawon for breakfast.. i cant say anymore but you should try it. Best place in Batu.

For me, just the best place in Batu, wonderful green hotel with natural pool, garden, cute traditionnal houses or nice main building facing the valleys. Nice owner passionate by his place into details everywhere. Great service and nice workers. Don't miss to walk in the property to discover this beautifull place. Just go to see the place and you will stay, in solo, couple or family. Cheers

This is just the right place to energize your spirit. The room size is so spacious with the unique and lovely natural design. I stayed at Kampung Lumbung for family vacation. The staff was very helpful. I stayed at Doro Kepak 3 which is located in front of the pool. It was a very pleasant stay. The view was amazing, the ambiance was also rustic, ancient, yet homey. I surely be come back again someday.

I stayed here for one night during Idul Fitri, when Batu was really really crowded with traffic jam almost everywhere. I am so grateful that I stayed here. The hotel is located about 50m from one of the main street in Batu, so access is easy but we weren't disturbed by the traffic.
Hotel's landscape has been created very beautiful with layers of pools and fish ponds, along with cottages, tropical flowers and river. For me, this view is amazing. It also reminds me of typical exclusive resorts in Ubud, Bali, but with smaller size and different location.
It has hotel room and cottage type. I booked the cottage "Doro kepak 2" for me & family, total 7 people. It has 2 bedrooms (double bed & twin bed). The mattress was great, double bed size is extra king (200cm x 200cm), twin bed' size is 100x200 cm each.
80% of the rooms were consist of wood, so it's cooler than usual hotel's room with concrete walls, esp. During night time.
If you love nature, and like to hear the sound of birds, frogs, water, you'll loveee this place. It's so peaceful and earthy.
The downside for me is the cleanliness. We found bed sheet with stain in one of the bed, small spider web here and there in bedroom, as well as bathroom, also dust at the wood. During breakfast, used plates and other dining utilities were still in the tables, none clean it up, so guest who arrive later at breakfast time were having breakfast with quite messy and dirty table. They might want to hire more staff, esp during holiday season, because I don't see much staffs around the hotels.

Batu is a wonderful place that you have to visit. Vary cozy, clean, frieldly, fresh clear air town. There are several places which are "a must" to be visited like Jatim Park 2, Secret Zoo, Eco Green Park, Animal Musium, and Batu Night Spectacular. If you want to explor all those places, the best hotel to stay is Kampung Lumbung. We spent 3 amazing nights at Kampung Lumbung Boutique hotel and spa in Batu, Malang. I think this is one of the best hotel in Batu. well groomed hotel and villas designed with "kampung" style, eco friendly, and all windows are facing the facinating views of mountain. You can enjoy the city from this hotel. All what you need to enjoy your vacation with family and relatives can be pampered if you stay in this hotel. I even got complimentary from my kids...they said that I am the best mom in the world for choosing this hotel...hahahahaha...kids....

We stayed (unfortunatley) 2 nights only in Kampung Lumbung, at first we doubt because we had to enter a kampong to reach the hotel, then it’s a WOW inside. We were impressed by the traditional Javanese concept building-almost like a museum made from teak wood and surrounded by nice greenery landscape.

Morning view is very beautiful, we could not wait to enjoy the fresh air, bird singing, hot coffee and the ‘’nasi goreng’’ [fried rice]. We enjoyed the sunrise over Semeru Mountain, at noon we spend the time for one hour massage, not bad for a relaxing moment. and the night ambience is romantic for both of us

Overall the traditional food quality was good. The people are nice and friendly. The room was also clean; the eco-support hotel concept was a big appreciation. It’s just a great experience in a hidden place in Batu

Thanks Kampung Lumbung. We definitely will return back!

Our first visit to Kampung Lumbung was near the Lebaran holiday, and the place was full. I was compelled by its concept of eco-friendly resort. The furnitures were beautiful, made of recycled timbers and stones. We did not stay the first time around because the place was full, but we did had a friendly staff who showed us around.

The second time, we did stay for a night at the 2 floors villa lumbung. It was almost too big for the two of us. The bathroom was beautiful, we really love it. But the floor was dusty, thankfully they provided us with a rubber flip-flop. Unfortunately, the hotwater broke down that night. So despite the beautiful bathroom, we couldn't use it. After fiddling with the water heater for one hour (it was close to midnight and we were tired and sleepy), the friendly staffs gave us the biggest room in the hotel at a discounted price as a compensation. The room was very comfortable and less dusty. Again, beautiful bathroom. We love the furnishing and the air is just so clean.

The breakfast was served on the table in front of our toom without prior notification, which we assumed because we woke up quite late (10AM, because we slept really late after the commotion the night before). Our breakfast was decent, but it was covered with ants. But we made up for it by visiting their cafe. Again, beautiful, beautiful place, overlooking the greens, fresh air and we had the whole place to ourselves. I fell in love with their tables and the hospitality of the staff.

It wasn't a pleasant experience for us just because of the few let downs, but we would come back again if we're at Batu because it felt so comfortable to be surrounded by the natural furnishings and their hospitality. We also love the concept, but perhaps they could manage it better, e.g., check the hotwater especially if we're the only guest staying the night at their biggest villa and sweep the floor before we arrived, because afterall, it's supposed to be a relaxing experience.
