The Buska Lodge is simple, but it has style. It is better than average, just for the restaurant area where we sat and read our books after enjoying our supper, and it is the best hotel in the area. The round house of the restaurant with open sides has sections of curtains, tied in the middle during the daytime and...

I stayed here in January 2017 as part of a week long solo trip (with a local guide) around the Omo Valley I know this is Ethiopia, so I had set my expectations accordingly. That said, I can't really give anything higher than a 3 star rating / maybe could be 3+ because everything is relative. Buska Lodge is located...

My wife and I stayed for a couple nights as a base to explore South Omo Valley in February 2017. Having spent a few nights in various hotels and lodges in Ethiopia, we have the "right" expectation on the standard of hotels in the country and found ourselves in a pleasant but generally lackluster lodge. Buska Lodge is located slightly...

Would have given five stars, but the mosquito nets are full of holes, do not close completely, and make you worry all the time about mosquitos coming and feasting on you while sleeping. Other than that the place is great, food is awesome, especially considering the remote location. Staff are nice, the grounds very clean. It is a nice 10...

Highly recommended. We were a group of five people. We stayed in the lodge during two nights visiting the varios tribes in the Omo valley. We evento crossed river Omo in one very special boat. Native people very kind and friendly to us. We visited the markets of Mursis and other tribes in the area. Ir is true that natives...

It's not great versus other hotels. The rooms feel like concrete huts with a really average bathroom with very weak hot water. No wifi outside of the restaurant area. And rooms generally a bit dirty. Restaurant is just passable for breakfast and dinner. But the laundry service is fast and cheap. The massage is good and ok priced at 280...

this is the best in the area but don't expect much. the room was clean and the water hot the electric lead from the light taped to the wall between bathroom and bed room was a little alarming especially as it was low enough I had to duck under it! The staff were friendly and the food fine. I was...

This is the best lodging in the area. It has its own generator so you are assured of electricity, at least during certain times of the night and morning, and we had hot water - items that are not necessarily amenities that are universal in the area. So we were satisfied with this lodging. It was clean, the receptionists were...

Nice little huts in a pleasant garden setting. Restaurant was good. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend Buska Lodge. Communication was difficult before we arrived and when we did get there they had no record of our booking so double-check they have your booking before you come.
