My teenage niece and I stayed for a couple of nights, whilst we did a local pottery course. The room was clean, plenty of space and had a modern bathroom. We had a very friendly reception and did so through out our stay. The food was tasty especially the full English breakfast which sets you up for the day ahead....

Nice decor. Good food. Generous with regard to letting you stay parked in their car park whilst you go walking. And that's the end of the positives. Now the negatives: 1. While the food was good, it wasn't good value; significantly over-priced for the locale. 2. We were 'greeted' by one of the owners, who didn't smile once (to us...

We stopped in here as a group after climbing Ingleborough. We had intended to just quench our thirst but some of our party opted for some food as well. The pub and restauraunt area are very well decorated and it almost looks out of place in a place frequented by avid walkers. It was an unexpectedly sunny day, so you...

We were staying in Clapham and chose the New Inn as a place to eat one evening. The dining room was fairly contemporary and the menus were well presented, however there didn't seem to be much variation to choose from. The restaurant was named as a Bistro and the waiting staff seemed fairly attentive. The appetisers gave a good choice...

We only had dinner here and the while the food was actually good (expect to pay between £40 and £50 per person with wine) the whole experience was badly let down by the unwelcoming reception, poor service (very slow food preparation, oddly cocky waiter) and lack of atmosphere. I'd give this place a miss until it improves. The Brookhouse Inn...

Just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay at the New inn in Clapham, in the Yorkshire Dales. Even the weather didn’t spoil it. Room 4 was lovely with a fantastically strong shower. Room was in the annexe which is actually anything but small. Good amenities in room including a hairdryer that actually works. Food is healthy and fresh with...

Clean modern bedroom but on the small side. Good shower but wall heated radiator was next to toilet and could easily cause a burn if touched, as was very hot. At evening meal x1 and b'fast x 2 dining area not used, directed by staff to eat in bar area but this was very noisy during the evening period.

Really nice room, decorated with a modern country finish. Had a great deal with dinner discount on the first night. Owner really friendly and very knowledgeable about the drinks served (even offered us complimentary dessert wine for the homemade ice cream). Other staff less friendly but still pleasant enough. Food was good but occasionally over seasoned. Overall we really enjoyed...
