My husband and I headed south on our sailboat to St Vincent from the northern Caribbean in late August. We were moving out of the high hurricane zone for a few weeks but we had no plan on where to stay after our quarantine. We chose the Blue Lagoon Hotel and Marina because it was easily accessible from our quarantine area and we were ready to get off the boat. The marina staff met us at the dock to help us get tied up and were extremely helpful the entire time.
Once on the dock, we stayed for seven weeks until high hurricane season was over. During that time, we used the well stocked Blue Lagoon Market (grocery) almost daily. We also ate at all three restaurants, The Loft, Cafe Soleil, and Flowt Beach Bar on numerous occasions. All three were excellent with lovely smiling, caring staff and the food was fantastic. The sunsets from the dock or Flowt Beach Bar gave an amazing view of sunset over the Caribbean and we were even able to see the green flash a few times.
In addition, the marina and front desk staff helped us daily with anything we needed from sending out our laundry to helping us get taxi's and tours. As a fully functioning marina, they have diesel and gasoline for sale, as well as water.
I cannot say enough nice things about the Blue Lagoon Hotel and Marina and we look forward to visiting with them again.

Excellent little hotel on the waterfront with wonderful service, great affordable breakfast and coffee in the hotel. Dinner is more expensive with smaller portions than an american would expect. There are parties at coconut grove down the beach, but the location itself is plenty quiet, with no noise issues after 930 or to

Strange comments seen here by one J.A,Dickent having been a visitor on a number of occasions as recently as Jan 2020.I am struggling to fathom the reasonableness or factuality of the comments. I have always found the place to be clean and with an with an excellent shop for provisioning of for my trips and a fully functional marina with friendly staff both dockside and at the hotel and restaurant. Blue Lagoon keep the good work up and remember that they are some with Champagne taste with Lemomade money to pay for it with.

Oh boy ..no way is blue Lagoon a 4 star!
So many things wrong or niggles.
We arrived at 12.30 check in is 15.00, the room was ready we had to pay $10extra to get in the room early
Only one room key that also enabled the power in room .. when my wife was having a nap in the afternoon I had to leave the door ajar when I went out so I could get in
Not that they can help this but cockerels screaming at 4.30 AM every morning.
I paid 10% extra for a refundable booking, we paid for 3 nights but wanted to leave after 2 even though I gave 24 hours’ notice they would not refund one night
The service in The Loft and The Dockside café is so slow, I ordered fried eggs for myself ( they were cold) and Granola, fruit, yogurt, and honey (as per the menu) both days had to ask for the honey. By the time it arrived I had eaten it.
Asked for a pot of hot water, that came but no cups.
The Baileys in the Loft bar was so thin .. watered down.
The TV in the room is positioned as such it is impossible to watch in bed
Insult to injury you charge 10% service charge for food . I would not mind if you received good service !
The only good points are their chosen guide is Lex , one of his guys Orlando did an awseome island tour
and Azizi the receptionist , was great at reception on the morning we left , she was the first person to ask " how was breakfast?" Etc and then remove one breakfast charge as compassion for our experience
M

PS The Flowt Beach Bar next door is no better for service.

To be honest i hated the fact that i would have to be quarantined for days on end not being able to leave my room. That all changed when i got to Blue Lagoon! Rooms and views are beautiful, equip with fast wifi and cable television with no added cost. There was never a boring moment in my stay! The supermarket downstairs also delivered food directly to my room as well as the restaurant The Loft which offers a mouth water menu. Staff are all great and i was even greeted by the managers and the owner of the hotel, all such wonderful people. I have bin to many other hotels in SVG but none compare to blue lagoon i haven't been treated this well since my stay at Bequia Plantation Hotel. This is the place to be for quarantine !

Rooms 1-10 face out over the marina and the sea whilst rooms 11-20 look out over the garden at the side. Very friendly staff and I would like to especially mention Azizi who works on the reception. She is a really friendly, courteous and helpful person who helped us with restaurant recommendations and taxi bookings. The water from the taps and shower can be a bit intermittent but maintenance do their best to sort out any problems. The pool is a bit hard to find but worth the effort. The cockerels running around the place are a bit noisy early in the morning. It's a steep walk up to the main road so better to take the side road which can be found past the dive centre.

We went to Blue Lagoon which we had booked on bookings.com before going. We got a price and went there.
When we came the long way and showed our reservation the guy in the reception was very rude and wanted extra cash payed to him if we wanted to stay. We did not have any other option. It was obvious that he was playing us.
We had no other option arriving late at evening so we stayed anyway. But only for 1 night!
We tried the restaurant and it was also a cheat. Worst food we possibly tried in the whole of Caribbean.
Blue Lagoon is a big SCAM with all the reviews made by friends and employees of the place.
It was a really bad experience and I would never tell anyone to go there.
All other places we went was really nice and not trying to cheat us.

Good Afternoon Adam P, We were very sorry to read your review and hear of your bad experience at the hotel - this is not in line with our usual standards! The only additional charges you would pay on check-in would be taxi charges, climate levy fee's (Government charge) or any additional persons in the room. With your reservation, when you checked in the manager on duty explained to the group there would usually be an additional fee for more than 2 guests per room - in your case there were 4 adults, but since you booked via booking.com we honored the rate, so no additional cash was taken. The rate you paid for the room was US$100++ which was paid in XCD cash, so you would have paid the converted rate - nothing extra was charged. I apologize if this was not explained clearly on check-in, I will look into this further. There are 3 restaurants on-site, not all run by the hotel so it would be helpful to know where you dined. I would welcome your further comments: gm@bluelagoonsvg.com

It didn't start well with a stone-faced receptionist who seemed lost and mumbled inaudibly. She also quoted me more than what was on my booking, but this was resolved with the help of another receptionist.

We were shown a room but the housekeeping staff told us it wasn't ready. Our porter went to find another room and we got one only to find that the safe wasn't working. Eventually it was fixed. The A/C was hard to calibrate as it tended to be too powerful when on. But we had a nice view from the balcony and two comfortable beds in a clean room.

We could eat and drink on two levels and found that very useful as walking along the main road was hazardous. Eating in the second floor restaurant required some patience, but the end result was good.

There were several cheerful and helpful staff whom we encountered during our three-night stay and we left with good memories.

Stayed at Blue Lagoon for a week while on St Vincent. The property is maintained well and the rooms are comfortable and clean. A nice setting right on the bay with accommodations in the marina for guests arriving or leaving by boat. They have a very friendly front desk staff. The restaurant and bar has good selections, with several nights in the week with either a seafood buffet or a barbecue buffet. Food is fresh and well prepared although there were times when it was a longer than normal wait. There is also a well stocked store attached to the hotel. Expect some noise from the chickens roaming the property. Overall, a decent place to stay.

We stayed at the Blue Lagoon hotel for a week on an Air Canada vacation. The room was simple but tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The hotel staff, from the front desk reception to the housekeeping staff and the security staff, were professional, friendly and hard working. The marina was very interesting and it was a short walk to a pleasant and uncrowded beach. The charming owner seemed to be present most days, and genuinely interested in how the patrons were enjoying their stay.

There are a few restaurants on the property which were convenient and the food generally enjoyable. The Loft was OK, but in order to live up to the written description of the resaurant and its menu, more attention needs to be paid to customer service and expectations at this level. For customer enjoyment, better to promise less on the written menu than to dash expectatiions with non availability. The view is gorgeous and relaxing.

Coconut Beach club was and excellent venue at the other end of the beach. It was a pleasant walk along the beach from the hotel and we appreciated that patrons of the hotel were able to use the beach chairs and umbrellas even when the beach club was not open.
