This older family run hotel has fully equipped kitchens with full stove and fridge, Clean and smells nice for older property. Clear that the owners are investing and doing top class maintenance. The front desk lady Maggie could not have been more helpful. Bed and mattress were fine. bathroom small but full tub and all in excellent condition. Nice sofa, arm chair, dining table -- all this at very low price. Much better and larger than I expected for the price

The property is lovely and the rooms are clean and comfy. It is not a modern updated decor but that did not affect our stay. It was great having a kitchen with all we needed to make PEI mussels and a lot of meals. The only downside was that the shower curtain was too short to reach the side of the tub. When we showered it was impossible to not get a ton of water on the floor. The curtain could not be lowered because it was attached to both sides of the shower wall. Other than that odd circumstance we had a great stay and would stay there again!

We were only passing along for a long drive across Canada so we stayed here for the night. The host was very accommodating and explained everything thoroughly. This is best if you just want a place to stay for the night. I liked that they provided 4 bath towels! Some bonus amenities included a small hair dryer, and a face bar soap. Everything functioned properly. Would consider going back there if we had another long drive.

This motel was never the highest end place, but we have gone there since we were kids starting in the late 80s/90s. Unfortunately it still looks that way. We kept going over the years because it was clean and not super outdated compared to other motels. Unfortunately this last stay the cleanliness aspect has very much gone downhill. There was something all over the back of the curtain, that looked like a spill off some sort. There was brown scuz around the bathroom taps. Cobwebs hanging from the bathroom ceiling. Cobwebs around the bottom of the spare bed in the corner near the wall. The lamp base in the bedroom was black and they thought that fixing it with duct tape would blend in, unfortunately it was starting to peel off so was very noticeable. Towels were dirty with dark spots or bright yellow spots on them. My parents also stayed and my mother had fairly fresh blood all over her pillow case and didn't know until after she slept on it and turned the pillow over the next day and found it. Our stay was several nights and never a bed changed. We put the thing on our door that says "please make up room" well the dirty bedspread that had been all in the dirt on the dirty floor was flapped back up on the bed, and the same dirty bed sheets that the kids had got dirty from shoes the first night were not changed, which we only noticed late at night and nobody was in the office. You could definitely notice they were dirty.
Not soundproof as listed. We could hear someone above us walking back and forth most of the night, coughing and the floors and bed squeeking every toss and turn the person above us made. Also a very strong stinky perfume smell that gave me a migraine headache when we first arrived to our room. I asked what it was and the owner showed me a Glade spray. So if scents bother you maybe ask ahead of time to have a room with no scents sprayed.
We kept going over the years because we have alway gone there for years and the place was clean, Unfortunately not sure if we will stay agai due to the lack of cleanliness. No cleaning or bedsheets changed anytime we were there. They did come in to take our used towels and refresh them with what looked more dirty than our used ones, just dry instead.
I don't have any pictures as we were too busy with kids and rarely in the room, which was probably a good thing.

It's a side of the road motel, so my expectations weren't very high, however, it was far worse than I expected. We overnighted here after our flight landed and check in was easy. There was lots of parking available. Our standard room smelled musty, the bedding was stained with what looked like scuff marks, and the room was far from clean. The baseboards had about a half inch of dirt on them. Also, the bathroom smelled like cat urine (they allow pets.) Before leaving, an EARWIG scurried out of my pillow. The only plus I can think of is this motel's proximity to the Charlottetown Airport. This motel should be at the $75 or less price point per night. Save your money and stay elsewhere!

Much better standard than you would expect for $79 a night. There were 2 queen beds in my accommodation with a separate bedroom. Tea and coffee were provided along with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.

Would definitely recommend for a short stay.

Kitchen was ill equipped - which is a bummer no basics for cooking. The floors turned my feet brown after having a shower. The beds were quite soft and the comforter was pilling. There was no parking available in front of my room. The clerk that checked us in wasn’t friendly. Our booking had gotten cancelled (my fault! I put in the wrong security number from the back of my card) the price was ok but I think next time we’d spend a bit more and stay somewhere else

Absolutely disgusting
I have no idea how this place is allowed to remain open.
Dirt, mold, blood stains, bugs, bad smell ..... it had every nasty thing you could imagine. I killed 17 flies in one evening! The mold smell was so bad. The floors were sticky.

We stayed here 2 years ago and really enjoyed our stay and looked forward to coming back. Well we did come back this past September and was very disappointed...Fair Isle had been sold and is now under new management. It has not been kept up to the standards of the prior owners. We stayed in the family unit room 8 & 9...the kitchen floors were dirty...you could feel your slippers sticking to the floor when walking across it, the bottom of slippers where black ...this also goes for the both bathroom floors. We had to wash the pots and dishes before using them. I don't think the lamps and bulbs had been dusted since the new owners took over. The only positive thing I could say about this place now is the beds are still comfortable and the motel is close the everything.
The lady that checked us in did not speak very good English and did not understand when asked if they had laundry facilities.
I would not stay here again.

Close enough to the City but far enough away to enjoy the rural setting of this motel.
They take dogs, which is awesome. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner lives on site with his family and takes interest in what you have to say. I always enjoy staying where the owner lives as things tend to be looked after better.
Their sign says:" Make Us Your PEI Home"... That is the BEST sign for the BEST motel on PEI! You will enjoy your stay, I know I did.

Pet friendly?

Yes, my brother had his 110 lb German Shepherd and no problem...as Heather mentioned you have to be responsible and keep the pet under control and pick up after them.
