We spent three nights at Tet Rouge in February 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food and staff are wonderful. They're friendly and responsive without hovering. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. We loved the outdoor shower and porch. As others have mentioned, it's worth noting that this is very small -- just six units. So that's a maximum of 12 guests. It's also well over the beaten path. The roads in the area are very narrow and it's about 35 minutes by taxi to get anywhere. But getting a ride with their help is really easy and not expensive. We were so glad that we DID NOT rent a car. We visited the botanical gardens, Soufriere, Tet Paul trail, the volcano, mud baths and Le Chocolat. It's also worth noting that the walk or drive to the beach is very "rustic" -- cows, chickens and goats are all we saw on our way. So rustic in fact, that we wondered if we were heading to the right place. But when we got there, we enjoyed snorkeling and swimming with just a few other people on a beautiful beach with a view of the pitons. A couple of tips: - try to get a beer at "The View" which is just down the hill. You'll feel like you're walking into someone's home, but the view from the porch is amazing. - if you go into Soufriere, we enjoyed Sea Shell beach because it's right on the water and has a great setting. We enjoyed a boat ride from the pier off the restaurant after getting pitched at the bar. We usually don't do that, but we're glad we did. For $80 we got a private ride along the shore and could see Sugar Beach and the pitons from the water. Many thanks to Garvin, Hilroy, George and the staff for making our stay so pleasand and to Ahmed for driving us on multiple trips. If you have a trip booked to Tet Rouge, we jealous!…
We stayed at Tet Rouge for just one night - our flight home was cancelled and we needed a room at the very last minute. We arrived in the pitch dark to a warm welcome: the kitchen stayed open for us, and we had a delicious dinner and a much-needed glass of wine (or two). Our room was wonderful - large, cool, quiet, and so comfortable. But even more wonderful was the surprise of the view when we opened our curtains the next morning to the beautiful pool and sea beyond - remember, it was dark when we arrived! It made for great conversation over breakfast. And as good as the food and accommodations were, the most special part of this experience was the care the Tet Rouge team took to make sure we were looked after. They were so kind and helpful - they turned what could have been a truly dreadful experience into one we will always remember. Thank you.…
We stayed at Tet Rouge for 3 nights in January and had a wonderful time. Our spacious and comfortable room was in front of the pool with a lovely view of the ocean (all 6 rooms have views) and big veranda where we enjoyed relaxing and watching the hummingbirds. The resort has a restaurant next to the pool that serves breakfast lunch and dinner. The food is very good by any standard, although quite expensive. Entrees are generally around $30-$50 and the menu does not change from day to day. We had the ceviche every night as an app and it was to die for. The lunch burger was so so good. The drinks are also phenomenal and in my opinion very reasonable. The bartender can make you anything you want and expect a strong pour! The staff at Tet Rouge is maybe the best part. Everyone is friendly, super well trained, and generally delightful. We felt very well taken care of. Other reviews have mentioned this but this is a *VERY* small resort and there's nothing to do other than relax. However, if you don't have any activities planned the staff are happy to help you arrange tours and they have their own contracted drivers that will take you anywhere you wish. We did not rent a car and do not regret it because the roads around this part of the island are terrifying - best leave it to the experts. We spent 2 of our days simply relaxing and the 3rd we went to Project Chocolat for their Vine to Bar tour/experience (I think that's what it was called) which was great fun. But we always returned for dinner because this is a very quiet area and it's not really worth it to drive 20-30 minutes each way to go somewhere else. Overall, we had a great time and glad that we picked Tet Rouge!…
From the moment we were picked up by taxi driver Ahmed we felt welcome. Arrival was instant relaxation and a very warm welcome from Hilroy and Mike. It's not fancy, but you have everything you need to relax. Big rooms with towering ceilings, great outdoor shower, locally made furniture and sitting porches with a view of the sea forever. The gardens are a small Eden, full of flowers and hummingbirds. The staff are wonderful. Nothing is too difficult. They all pitch in happily. Thank you to Garvin, Isha, Samantha, George, Hilroy, Mike, Quinns (sorry not sure about spelling) and to the owners who kindly took time over lunch to share some of their experiences. The kitchen rocks. We didn't bother going out for meals because the food was so good. They were accommodating to my early diving husband's breakfast needs, booked it all for us and sorted out taxis for both business and pleasure. It's like having a personal concierge. If I could improve a few things I would ask for better internet. Some of my time was work related and I could only really connect in the restaurant. Bed preference is personal and for me it was a little firm. A foam pad to be added or taken away would sort this easily. More pool loungers with adjustable umbrellas would be great. I know they are not quite the authentic vibe but a modern convenience. Great vacation, total relaxation and will return.…
Amazing! The place to come if you want a secluded romantc vacation! The views from the villas are spectacular; wonderful sunsets out on the covered patio and great views of the ocean and Gros Piton. The food is wonderful. We were going to try other places for dinner but after the first night decided this was the place for great food and ate here every night. You will enjoy the infinity pool overlooking the blue Caribbean. We rented a car. All of the great outdoor spots are close. We hiked both Pitons, visited Diamond Botanical Garden and waterfall, and spent the afternoon at Sugar Beach. The staff are fantastic. It is very hard to leave this wonderful place. Ken and Tatiana
If you are looking for a relaxing, laid back resort with a true locals vibe that is an alternative to the all-inclusive mega resorts, Tet Rouge is your place. My wife and I stayed here for 10 days and were very happy with our decision. The staff are all fantastic - shout out to Hillroy who was amazing! Location Tet Rouge is about 30 minutes or so from the airport and is pretty remote, so just know that going in. The grounds are beautiful with many flowers and fruit trees along the property and a fantastic view of the ocean. There is a small beach about a 15-20 minute walk from the resort - we never ventured down there as we preferred to sit by the pool. There is not much to do here other than relax, sit in the hammock, and sit by the pool, which was completely fine by us! But know that going in - if you are expecting to be able to walk to a nearby bar/restaurant, then you will be out of luck. Room The room is spacious and was good overall - its not a luxury resort so dont expect 5 star but everything was clean and in good condition. There is a small kitchen with a medium size refrigerator to store any drinks/snacks you brought with you. The outdoor shower was wonderful and we used that exclusively as the indoor shower is a little small. Each room had an outdoor patio with hammock and table/chairs with a beautiful view of the ocean. Food The food here is fantastic! With our room, breakfast was included and consisted of made to order eggs (make sure to get the hot sauce), fruit plate, toast and jam, and cereal. We had fish sandwich, burger, ceviche and salad for lunch - all were great. Had fresh fish, creole pork, steak, lobster for dinner and all were really good as well. Only thing to be aware of is that the menu did not change during our visit so we got a little worn out of the same menu by the end of our trip Other points of interest/Area details We rented a car, but a word of warning, the roads are absolutely horrendous - we have traveled to several tropical locales and these were the worst roads by far. It limited our ability to explore the island outside of a few locations closer to the resort because it took way too long to get anywhere. There are drivers available at the resort and knowing what we know now, I would have skipped the car and just had them drive us around. Probably would have been similar in cost to what we paid for the car Sugar Beach was our favorite place outside of Tet Rouge and is about a 20 minute drive from the resort. The Rainforest Spa there was worth every penny! You can access the beach here for free but will need to bring your own towel as the beach chairs are reserved for hotel guests. You can rent the chairs for $75/day and we were able to negotiate this down and spent a couple days hanging on this beach. Costs for food/drink are what you would expect at a luxury resort Had dinner outside the resort at Orlando's, Hotel Rabot, and Ladera. The sunset view at Ladera was stunning and worth the trip. Orlando's was the best food of the 3 but definitely more local feel. The setting at Rabot was cool as its in a working chocolate farm and the food all has chocolate worked into it somehow Overall we were extremely pleased with Tet rouge and would definitely recommend it to anyone - just make sure you understand what you are signing up for because its the antithesis of a mega resort. That was exactly what we were looking for! …
The feel of welcome is immediate. The views and sunsets are amazing. If you need a piton, just look over your shoulder. Tiptop management & staff. The driver will take you anywhere. The food is delicious. Things to do, easily arranged. 👌👌❤️
We recently spent 3 nights at this wonderful hillside resort. Everything was exquisite from the ample suite with it's outdoor shower to the great meals to the views. Everyone who worked there provided over the top service, with a special shout out to Hilroy and Garvin. This is the rare find that you will remember forever and the price is reasonable for such a nice resort..
We just got back from St Lucia, what a cozy slice of paradise Tet Rouge is. Great location on the south side of the island with its own restaurant and catamaran boat. We had breakfast and dinner there, was delicious. Great pool as well. We had so much fun climbing the Gran Piton mountain just a few minutes from the resort. They have shuttle to the nearby beach as well. I highly recommend staying at Tet Rouge!
I visited Tet Rouge ( St Lucia) in January 2023, what a nice location and service. The hotel and rooms are very cozy and clean, the whole property is very intimate and beautiful. I have't seen a view like this. Dinners at Tet Rouge are simply the best. I totally recommend à boat tour that is offered by the resort with their own catamaran. I highly recommend Tet Rouge!
