The rooms are clean and beautiful, vaulted ceilings. The employees were very nice and helpful. The food was delicious. You have your own outdoor shower. Functional kitchen and eating area. The durt road getting to the resort is a bit narrow. If you do not get a rental, they can arrange a car to take you where you need to go. Great resort to relax, it is nice and quiet.

My husband and I spent 7 nights at Tet Rouge for an anniversary trip. It was our first time visiting St. Lucia and we are so happy we picked Tet Rouge. One of the best parts of staying here was the staff. All of the staff were so kind, helpful, and fun to talk to. Everything feels so personal. The resort itself is beautiful and cozy and when we weren’t out having adventures we loved lounging at the pool and getting drinks at the bar. The bartenders were especially great and made the best cocktails- I loved the coconut daiquiris, margaritas, and espresso martinis. The location is beautiful and perfect for those looking for a more unique and personal experience vs what you might find at a large resort. We enjoyed walking down to the nearby beach & seeing some of the countryside. It is about a 20 minute walk but you have gorgeous views along the way. The resort will also shuttle you down there. It is a very local beach so please respect it as it is. The resort is also close to Sugar Beach, Paradise Beach, Gros Piton and Petit Piton trails and short drive to Soufriere. Gavin set up the taxis for us for all our our outings which was very helpful. Bring plenty of cash for the drivers - we had to make a few trips to the ATM in town. Not a big deal but we would bring more cash next time. The food! Everything is very fresh. I am usually wary of resort food but everything we had here was actually delicious! I especially loved the tuna ceviche and the shrimp salad. The breakfast everyday was also amazing and fresh and one of my favorite parts of the day. We did the half day catamaran with snorkeling and sunset dinner and it was absolutely lovely! It was a splurge for us but I would say it was worth it. Delicious bbq chicken, fish, and a generous supply of rum punch and pitons were provided. Very very fun and definitely a highlight of our week. I would definitely recommend Tet Rouge & we can’t wait to come back next year!

My wife and I were looking for a relaxing and quiet place and we found Tet Rouge. Pros : - The place is gorgeous and well maintained - The staff is very welcoming and made sure to accommodate us. Huge thanks to Gavin, Hillroy, Samantha & George. Everybody was very nice to us. Cons : - the place is isolated so getting around can be pricey. - also the place could use more light at night to avoid tripping over. Overall Tet Rouge is a little paradise for couples that we highly recommend.

Thank you for your kind review. We are happy you had a good time. We are working constantly to make sure our guests enjoy their stay. The solar lights have been replaced this fall. We want to mention to our future guests that Tet Rouge is located a short drive away from Sugar Beach, Tet Paul nature trail, Ladera, Rabot Estate (15 to 25 minutes drive), but if you do not rent a car and wish to use a taxi it might be a bit more costly than driving around at your own pace.

We stayed at Tet Rouge for five nights and loved it. This was a trip with another couple and we could not have picked a better spot. The resort was quiet, well maintained, and taken care off by amazing staff. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning as well as a few dinners, the meals were delicious. The staff (Gavin, Hilroy, George, Merlessa, Samantha, Mike - just to name a few) took good care of us, and the others guests. Such a great experience!

Our experience at Tet Rouge exceeded our expectations! The staff welcomes you and makes you feel like you are a part of the family. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and the outdoor shower was amazing! The location of this resort on the island is great because you are only a short drive away from many of the wonderful things to do. The Tet Paul nature trail, Sugar Beach, Rabot Estate, sunset dinner at Ladera...within a 30 minute drive. We would recommend waiting until you get to the resort to rent a car...we didn't need a car every day and Garvin would have a car ready for us at the resort on the days we decided to venture out. Such a great service and will save you money. IF you don't want to drive the staff will make arrangements to get you where you want to go...for a round trip fee. We did the sunset cruise on the owner's catamaran which is not to be missed! The breakfast each morning is wonderful. We had eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, toast and guava jam! Yummy! The resort food was delicious. Never had a bad meal and the prices are very reasonable compared to the other resorts on the island. We went on an unusually slow week and had the resort to ourselves most of the week (not complaining:) but the times we did get to meet another guest was enjoyable. We were definitely sad to leave and will be dreaming of this beautiful island paradise...thanks to all the staff for a truly memorable vacation!

What can I say...best holiday, ever. The staff is perfect! Did something? Garvin solve everithnig. Breakfast? Samantha and Merlessa knows what you need, before you order!! Kilroy-Louis Philippe and George, the bartenders, are top! The pool is daily cleaned, by Quint, early in the morning. Eroll is taking care of security. The room is awsome, cleaned daily... secured, zero complains. The view is awsome, daily rainbow. The food...I suggest to try Cevice wich I was eating daily. Also the other dishes were perfect. Try the cathamaran trip. I cathced a barracuda, prepared by the kitchen personl. Was...unbelirvable!! The owners are...part of team, part of the family, part of what we really need for a gorgeous holiday. Chapeu bas!!!

Tet Rouge was absolutely a magical stay. The staff was incredible and catered to our every need. It is a super small resort and because of this so many details were able to be catered to. Breakfast on our terrace daily was lovely and Gavin made sure if we wanted to do any excursions we had wonderful guides. Our favorite was Ahmed. He took us out a few days of our trip and was fun and informative. They even accommodated us wanting to go to the grocery store and the bank during our stay. The food was out of this world some of the best we had on the island. 10/10 recommend for a couples getaway.

A (very) remote micro-resort with western prices and sub-par, non-western customer service. We stayed here for a special occasion, and, while our experience was not all bad, we would not stay at Tet Rouge again and would not recommend it to others. Several other guests we connected with agree. The pros: - Beautiful venue (suites were spacious and nice, the public spaces, like the pool, bar, and outdoor restaurant, were picturesque, atmosphere was relaxing and tropical) - The area is very remote (this is the Southern part of the Island, and most of the hustle and bustle / partying / large resorts are on the northern part; the hotel is located in the hills among farmland and people’s houses, so it is very far and removed from any action; very easy to unplug and decompress) - Beautiful nature - due to the remoteness of the location, it’s close to the beautiful Piton peaks (though you can’t see them from your windows, as they are behind the hotel) - There is a small restaurant and bar on the premises, so technically you would not need to leave the resort for meals if you wanted to relax all day - Meals can be pre-ordered and ready at a specific requested time (as long as it falls within the designated breakfast / lunch / dinner hours during which the restaurant is open) - They can arrange a driver and excursions for you upon request, as well as make reservations at one of the few other restaurants on this part of the island - They can arrange for a driver for airport pick-up and drop-off - Car rental is an option, but driving in St. Lucia is not for the faint of heart (left side of the road driving, most roads only one-lane-wide, countless sharp blind turns around the mountainous terrain) The cons: - The area is very remote - there are no beaches/ restaurants/bars/shops/etc within walking distance; the only restaurants are located in the other resorts and are all *at least* a 25-30 minute drive away; the beaches are also at least a 25-30 min drive away, the nearest ATM is in the town of Soufreire, 30 mins away, and it is not always guaranteed to have cash available) - All plans for leaving the premises (for excursions or restaurants) must be made ahead of time in order to arrange for a driver (I.e. spontaneous plans are difficult, unless you rent a car to drive yourself, which, as mentioned, is not an easy feat) - About 1/3 to 1/2 of the items listed on the drink and food menu are not available at any given time due to “supply chain issues” - do not expect to be ordering your first OR second choice most times; in addition, sometimes they will not tell the full truth about availability (I ordered the Mahi for dinner and was told it was not available, when my boyfriend had it for lunch that day and the next day, no problem) - There is zero flexibility about ordering lunch menu items for dinner and vice versa, making the menu extremely limited given the lack of availability of many dishes - Restaurant menu is overpriced - the burger (which was not available during our entire stay, was $24; most other entrees start in the mid $40s) - Management and Owner have a very disappointing and rude approach to customer service - when we approached the Manager, and then the Owner, about our disappointment in the lack of availability and options on the bar and restaurant menu, we were met with fairly aggressive responses explaining why we were in the wrong and they were in the right; the tone was defensive and not at all apologetic or accommodating; when we asked for some sort of compensation for the inconvenience, the Manager finally agreed to two free meals, which the owner subsequently took away, stating that we will not be compensated in any way. This customer service approach alone is a reason for us to never return to Tet Rouge again. Tips if you do stay here: - Understand what you’re signing up for with its remote location - Consider renting a car - Plan your meals outside of Tet Rouge at the few other resorts available

Response from Têt Rouge Resort Tet Rouge, Owner at Tet Rouge Resort
Responded Apr 15, 2023
We are happy to hear that your experience at Tet Rouge was still overall positive and that you enjoyed our beautiful property. In the interest of providing some clarification and guidance for our future guests however, we have taken the time to provide a response to your review. Although we welcome objective reviews from our guests (whether positive or negative), our duty is to provide - for the information of any future guests - a response with clarifications. Also, note that we understand that in most cases any factual misrepresentations contained in reviews are not intended to be defamatory but are merely the result of misunderstandings or mistakes. 1 - Location. We are located within walking distance of Anse L’Ivrogne Beach where we also offer a complimentary shuttle,10 minute drive from the back entrance of Sugar Beach, 15 minutes drive to Dasheen restaurant at Ladera Resort, Boucan restaurant at Hotel Chocolat, and up to 20 minutes drive to Mango Tree restaurant at Stonefield villas resort, Soufriere, Diamond Falls, and Botanical Gardens, the Sulphur springs and the mud baths, and Anse Chastanet beach, 2 - Taxis and tours are available for all our guests in case they want to go out, but please note that in the case of any immediate plans, taxi drivers need a bit of time to reach our hotel in case they are driving other guests around. Therefore it is best to plan ahead of time. 3 - Restaurant. We offer a lunch menu and a dinner menu to cater to our customers’ preferences. The lunch menu offers a variety of options our guests can enjoy at their earliest convenience. Alternatively, our dinner menu is extensive and includes more complex dishes. Please note that there are ingredients that might be more readily available during lunch hours only, making certain dishes more feasible to serve only during certain hours. We are surprised to hear that 1/3 to 1/2 of the items of our menus were not available. We take pride in our customer satisfaction to ensure this does not take place, and as a result have not heard of this from any other guest. Our menu offers a wide variety of fresh, organic choices - our guest favourites include the chicken, pork chops, maki mahi and tuna, octopus and vegetable wrap. Our restaurant prices are no higher than in other restaurants in St Lucia. Unfortunately, being such a small island we depend on imports. Supply chain issues have been global and sadly continue to impact St Lucia. As a result, we haven’t been able to receive the burgers from our US suppliers in a timely manner. We make sure to mention this to our guests ahead of time. 4- Customer service. Part of our guests' experience at Tet Rouge is our staff's customer service. The reviews reflect how guests appreciate our service and how delighted they are with our Tet Rouge team. In the case of any discrepancy, the team will and has always offered complimentary services to ensure all guests enjoy their stay with us. We have no issues with negative reviews; in such cases, we assume the reviewer is actually doing his/her best to present the facts to guide other future guests. However, we will respond where any factual mistakes are made. Although most of our guests enjoy their stay at Tet Rouge, our little resort may not be for everybody.
