I regularly travel to Kodaikanal by road and on one such trip needed a break from the drive and chanced upon this hotel by chance. And boy was I pleasantly surprised. The booking by phone was simple and pleasant. I was offered a suite that was simple yet luxurious. The check-in was painless and was able to go up to the room shower ( fabulous bathroom btw) and crash on the firm but comfortable bed.
I made a mental note to visit the hotel with family, which I did shortly and used it as a base to visit the two grandest temples nearby. The Perumal temple is an Auto stop away. Rather than squeeze park near the temple an Auto would drop and pick you up for 200 to 300 bucks. The Shiv temple was a pleasant walk away.

I wish we had more hotels like this : Inexpensive, super clean, simple and safe.

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone getting sleepy eyes on the highway or as a base for temple visits.

Tip 1 : Ask for the suite. For a few quids more it is a bargain compared to the room.

Tip 2: Good street food is available across the main road.

Tip 3 : Ask for a room away from the front facade, that way you avoid the neon light seeping through the window from the signage.

We are a married couple from Russia, we travel a lot in India. Chose this hotel based on reviews.
When I saw our room, I was delighted to tears… The best hotel in all of India!)
The room is very nice and very clean. Bed linen and towels are very white. Cleanliness was everywhere and pleased the soul.
It seems that the room is prepared in such a way as to invite God himself to rest in it! We had a very good rest here)
The bathroom even had toothbrushes and toothpaste. The most pleasant shower.
The toilet was not only clean, but also disinfected! I felt like in paradise, because I love cleanliness very much!
But that is not all! The owner of the hotel, Mr. Balajee, and all the rest of the hotel staff show great love and care for their guests…
Homemade food was prepared for us and here our dream came true - we had our first taste of homemade vegetarian Indian food. It was very tasty!
I even ate sweets, although I don't usually eat sweets... But I wanted to try everything!
Very tasty drinks Mr. Balajee prepares himself.
In every action, care is felt. And there are wonderful guests here.
A space you don't want to leave!
Very good price for everything! Is breakfast included…
I finally had a delicious idli and chatni. Every dish here is delicious!
Food is prepared only for those staying in the hotel. While we lived in this city, we ate only here and nowhere else)
I told my friends who make trips to the temples of the five elements - do not pass by this hotel!
It was made for God!

Stayed at Scarlett just a day back. The room is cozy and nice. However there are lack of few things like toiletries, cutlery. Since there is no kitchen. Basic cutlery like plates, spoons, bowls are a must. Had to ask for water bottles and hand towel The major let down was no hot water for bathing. Not everyone is accustomed to warm water bathing nor cold water.
Soap dish has to be user friendly. Need for a kettle for hot water and to make coffee or tea.
Good restaurants are available nearby. But after a temple visit you are too tired to venture out and swiggy, zomato orders take around an hour to deliver which I feel with kids and elders will be difficult to manage. The hotel staff is good but professional training is required.
For better business kitchen should become operational.
All the above will definitely upgrade the hotel for good returns.

Neat room, clean washroom, warm hospitality and delicious home style food.We were a family of 3 and opted for deluxe room.We took extra cot and bed for our 12 year old daughter which the staff provided immediately upon request with additional charges.Room is compact for 3 people. They also have options of suite room for bigger family. We stayed for 3 nights and 2 days and our stay was comfortable. The room had A.C.The staff was courteous and helpful. Buffet breakfast is delicious.Dinner is served upon request and is a set menu dinner. The location is about 1.5 kms from Sri Ranganathaswamy temple and autos are available all the time.Jambukeeshwar temple is walkable and 20 minutes away.We would definitely look forward to visiting Scarlet Srirangam again!

We, a couple, stayed 3D2N for temple visits. Good location for visiting temples. Nothing to complain. Clean and comfortable rooms. TV, Intercom and AC, water supply all perfect. Many south indian restaurants that serve mouth watering veg dishes are close by.

No restaurants in Hotel. It is not a Star hotel and don't expect 24/7 coffee shop etc. Evrything is availble nearby within three miniutes walk on highway. It is slightly Off highway and that is a Plus & Minus.

Booked my stay at this hotel based on online reviews and recommendation from my cousin. Was not disappointed a bit. The rooms are new and clean. Bath towels and beds are clean. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Food is very homely. No unnecessary additives in food. The breakfast is sumptuous and tasty. The lunch buffet offers necessary choices. The sambar was sublime. The mojito was absolute bliss to taste. Room service is prompt.
The location gives great convenience in accessing the temples nearby.

The hotel is not worth for the price they quote . Very normal rooms . No fan . Only A/c . No luggage table available. You have to open bags only by keeping on the bed . Outside open parking . I haven’t seen any restaurant inside . Advantage is that it is on the main road .

Stayed for a day. Very clean. No frills hotel. 5 mins walk to Thiruvanakoil temple. Excellent food, felt like home. If you are looking for a clean home stay with no star extravaganza, Scarlet will suit you. Mr.Balaji Srinivas was very hospitable and helpful. Quite close to Srirangam and Samayapuram temples.
