Such a beautiful campground and spot. Was an easy and pleasant check in. Our campsite was easy to find and a generous enough size for what we needed ( small tent and small car 2 adults). A short walk to the lit and incredibly clean bathrooms from our spot made for an extra enjoyable stay. The coin showers were a great extra and were so clean! Potable water available within the site and a large list of items to purchase if you forget something or need to replenish your ice!

We were also only a 5-8 minute stroll to the beach on a beautiful little side trail or a 10-15 minute walk down to the start of Rebecca spit.

Little burger joint a 5 minute walk away where we enjoyed a well earned float after completing the scorching hot rebecca spit loop. Enjoy !!

Just returned from a couple of days at We Wai Kai Camp Site. Fabulous days with supper friendly staff. We just have to congratulate them on their extra special cleaning and taking care of everyone. Checkin and checkout easy and contact free. Plenty of activities in and around the campsite. Waterfront sites with electric and water. Clean washrooms even the opportunity to rent a personal porta potty for just $50 and it will be delivered to your site. If you prefer private wooded sites there are those too also available with water and electric.

We spent yet another most enjoyable week at We Wai Kai this June. We were pleased to see all precautions in place for physical distancing plus continual cleaning of washrooms throughout each day. Other than that it was the same great staff and unbeatable scenery that keeps us coming back year after year, twice each year in fact. It's our home away from home and the place we dream about all winter. Upon return there's always something refreshed, updated or improved. Thanks for all you do Darren & staff!

We had a private site in the forested section, which was clean and quiet and close to the trail to Rebecca Spit. Water was close, as were the washrooms and showers ($1 for 4 minutes, so a good deal). The setting is lovely and the staff friendly. There was wifi at the office, and there is a no charge dump station for registered guests. The property abuts Rebecca Spit Provincial Park, which is a gem of a place, so it was great to have trails from the campground to the spit. Firewood was self-serve: $15 for a wheelbarrow load. The sites are generally quite tight for space, we noticed, especially for trailers.

The new sites are well done and so spacious! Breathtaking views and friendly staff make this spot a must-stay. Check this off your bucket list. We enjoyed the paths and the short walk to the public beach. The trails that meander through the area are well maintained. Swimming and paddle boarding are easy to do in the Spit. We will be back again and again. This spot is great for families, groups, or solo travelers.
The staff is helpful and friendly. They have a small concession-style store where you can purchase pop, chips, and other items. It's a quick trip to Campbell River if you want to explore more. This is our #1 camping spot off Vancouver Island!

Upon entering the campground there are really huge potholes that should be fixed as we thought we were going to bottom out on them. That was the only negative. There were showers and fire rings the only thing that were missing were picnic tables. the sites were locking picnic tables The campground host was lovely and accommodated us although we didn't have a reservation. I would suggest making a reservation as in February it was very busy. As far as the campsites go there are some really nice beachfront spots but they are few and far between. The other sites that have service are all beside each other and not very private but definitely all lovely spots. we walked the beach for an hour all the way to the river. It's truly a majestic place to visit and I would recommend it to anyone

Staff are rude and dismissive. Read the google reviews for more stories of unhappy campers. Expect a $40 fine to change or cancel a reservation, even a month out of a booking! Would certainly not recommend. Save yourself the money and book elsewhere.

We Wai Kai Campsite is nestled in the bay at Rebecca Spit. The large waterfront sites give you lots of room and an amazing view of the Spit. Beach is amazing for swimming and kayakers. The staff are very kind and helpful, love staying here.

This campground has it all! Ocean or forest sites, private or open camping. Clean showers, kayak rentals, firewood. Electric and water or dry camping. Friendly helpful staff and close to the many things quadra has to offer! One of our favorite places to spend time in summer !!

Fran, Duncan and I, and another couple spent a few days there last week. Excellent location even though we had a bit of rain. Still managed to have a camp fire at night and a bit of kayaking in the day. Would love to go again and enjoy some golf at the local golf course which is now open.😍😍😍.j. You've got to try it Liz Smith . A great place to take visiting friends or relatives Georgia Brown. Would love to go again, right Fran Stewart?

They also have a Tiny House to rent if you don't have an RV or tent. They'll also put a port a potty on your site if you request.

"All the camp sites are good. The ones on the water sell out a year in advance but we like the upper level the best anyhow. It's serene!"
