My daughter and I were making a short trip into Bolivia. Literally. Just 45 minutes from Desaguadero to the little town of Tiwanaku. And there was Hotel Akapana, with its attractive facade, and its proximity to both the Kalasasaya site and the two museums.
We arrived into Tiwanaku with Julius tours & skipped the ride back to La Paz. There are many shared taxis that cost $10 bolivianos/$3US. They leave & arrive frequently, probably every 15mins or so. Saw the taxis as early as 0630am & as late as...More
