We stayed in a beach club villa which was spacious and kept very clean by the maids. Yes perhaps in need of a lick of paint in places but the bed was comfortable and had Gambian charm. The grounds were well tended and there was plenty of places to spend time relaxing either by one of the pools or on...

My wife and I recently returned from a week at the Coco Ocean. It is a lovely hotel set right next to the beach. The staff are among the friendliest and helpful people we have ever met with nothing being too much trouble. A special thank you to Sarah on Reception and Ousman who served us our breakfast during our...

I was here for business and was told it was the best place to stay in Banjul. I arrived to a dirty bed with stains, hair and lipstick. I requested a new room and was told I had to stay and wait for housekeeping, 30 minutes later I could sleep since it took that long for them to change the...

Only 20 minutes drive from the airport it was a speedy and polite checkin at the main reception. The front desk team were generally always pleasant. The concierge were very friendly and helped all the time. The resort is large and has a hill from reception down to the pools and beach. Clean and well kept in all areas. The...

Another inspiring Thai meal at The Coco. The Chicken with Cashew Nuts was exploding, so much in my mouth, that I had to continually keep eating. Could not stop to keep feeding the sensation !! You must go !

The Coco Ocean is a full resort. It has a pool and access to the beach. It even has a full spa (although I did not go). The resort has three restaurants. The head chef is a football fanatic spaniard chef who clearly loves food, cooking and people. They usually have a numerous food choices including a traditional african, asian...

The Thai restaurant used to be down by the beach and WAS lovely, However now moved up with the main restaurant and standard really dropped. Why have 3 restaurants and none of them good. Once again my trip to teach in a nursery school in the mornings and relax in the afternoons went perfectly thanks to the high standards offered by Coco Ocean. The position is excellent, being right on the beach and also close to Senegambia and other tourist attractions. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and the food...

Due to situation in Gambia where visitors were pulled out of the country in January 2017 we had to cancel our Gambia trip. Coco Ocean promised us a full refund (24 January). After several reminders send to the hotel and the hotel administrator, and bad excuses from the hotel, we never received any refund (today's date is 10 March). We...
