This place is amazing! I slept like a baby, fished like a pro and made memories for a lifetime. Turn off your cell, make memories that last and invest in yourself at Sabourin. I will be going back for a lifetime with my family and friends.

This remote fly-in fishing lodge offers great fishing, clean and comfortable cabins, and amazing food. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The fishing guides ensured we caught trophy sized fish and cooked delicious shore lunches each day.

This is a fishing lodge not a luxury resort. But for a fishing lodge in the Canadian wilderness, it is great. The rooms are typical fishing/hunting lodge style, not fancy, but clean and comfortable with plenty of space for clothes and equipment. We stayed in a four bedroom unit with three bathrooms and two showers and a nice central room where we could hang out. The food was very good and plentiful. The beer and liquor are reasonably priced. The service is typical of an excellent five star hotel. I was impressed with the quality of service. The managers, Susan and Fred, do a wonderful job at all aspects of service. The staff is friendly and willing to do whatever is needed to accommodate the guests’ needs. I particularly appreciated that each morning the staff would drop by and start a fire in the stove and drop off a carafe of hot coffee before we got up. And when we returned from fishing, there was fresh ice in our ice buckets for apres fishing drinks. Our group of four used spin fishing equipment and had fantastic success. We primarily caught northern and walleye, but the lakes also hold smallmouth bass and lake trout. We had a variety of levels of fishermen. The four of us averaged over two hundred fish a day and over four days of fishing caught at least thirteen trophy size fish. The guides were great and helped us enjoy the wilderness experience beyond just fishing. We had a number of wildlife sightings including bear, caribou and eagles. We also took a side trip to see some ancient native drawings. You can contact the lodge during the season at 1-204-480-6421.
