11 of us have just returned from an amazing few day's skiing in the La Plagne region of France . Champagny is a beautiful quiet little village at the foot of a huge ski area . Jean Francois and Beartice were so welcoming in Hotel Les Glieres and took their time to explain how everything worked as regards ski and boot racks in the hotel , ski hire etc. and gave us lots of advice on what to do in the area ! We had a balcony which was south facing and was worth the extra cost with views across to Courchevel . A very good selection for breakfast and lovely food in the evening with great attention from Pierre and Laetitia ! Lovely cosy bar for drinks after dinner by the fire !

For the first time in champagny. A small village without the ugly buildings you normally find I. The French ski areas. The hotel is cosy, not very big rooms but everything you needed. The people are very friendly and helpful. We've booked incl breakfast and dinner. Always good and every day a new menu. No problem for them if you want to change something. The hotel is very close to the ski lift.

Tiny rooms, but crammed inside is all you need for a short break. Easy to find and access, except when 4ft of snowfalls overnight, but snow blower gets up early and clears the paths eventuallly. Its very close to the funicular so easy to get to the pistes

Booked here for a short ski weekend, having stayed once before several years ago. It’s a lovely little hotel just a short walk from the gondola and in the middle of the village so really convenient. Wouldn’t normally choose to book half board but it was really good value and there’s not loads of restaurants in Champagny so made sense to this. Very glad I did; each night was a set 4 course menu and was delicious, far superior to the sub-standard buffets hotels normally provide. Drinks were all reasonably priced too. The owners are lovely, even allowing us to grab an early breakfast before setting off for the airport at 6am. Would definitely return.

We stayed in Jan 2018 for three nights. Jean-François answered questions and gave advice. Nice man. We got the half-board deal and ate what they brought us each night for dinner. It seemed very authentic European to our American tongues and we were super impressed and pleased with every item. It was so nice to not have to deliberate over a menu! The breakfast was super filling and plentiful each morning. The ski and boot room with boot dryer was really handy. The location of this hotel is excellent, just a five-minute walk to the gondola. Jean-François made the fire in the lobby each evening. The view out of our room was excellent (valley side). The room itself was quite small and the bed not very comfortable for our American tastes. But overall this hotel was just what we were looking for and hoping for. When we think of a hotel in the French Alps, this is what we picture.
