This is a special place. Perfect for those who want a remote, natural setting. The area is stunning. The accommodations are well planned, well stocked and very comfortable. The outdoor gathering fire pit area is a great space as well. Allows any of the travelers to meet and share stories from the day. Bruce is very knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable. This is his home year round and you can tell he is committed to keeping the area's natural surroundings as healthy as possible.

This is definitely the place to turn off all the noise of our modern life and steep yourself into the exceptional beauty and tranquillity of this still unspoiled gift of nature. The accommodations in our Cliffside cabin were perfect, kitchen well-equipped, comfy bed and bath. We enjoyed paddles to Echo Bay, Fox Islands, but most of all Burdwood Islands with its lovely beach and hike around the (?) island. Recommend staying at least 7 days, our 5 felt too short. Bruce is a great host and knowledgeable in answering any Q's about the area. Also recommend Devil's Bath Pub in Port McNeil.

Our party of 4 (a couple and 2 singles) stayed in the Shoreline Cabin for 4 nights. The location was fantastic, the kitchen well supplied with cookware, dishes, etc, and the beds were comfortable. Bruce was the perfect balance of helpful and respectful. We hope to return!

This was the perfect place for us-- remote, off grid, insanely beautiful, cozy, great kitchen, and a great sweet vibe-- we kayaked in gorgeous moody weather and returned to a wood stove and lovely cabin to take shelter when the skies opened up... will definitely return!

We stayed at the Cliffside cabin which is on a floating dock, each of the cabins is different but they are all full of charm. Everything was immaculate and extremely comfortable. Lots of attention to detail including potted herbs growing outside the cabin which we could use for salads etc. Our cabin had lots of windows and they all had a good view, the view from our deck across the bay was delightful. The kayaks we rented were in good condition and the area is very beautiful with lots to explore, I just wish we had more time. The boat trip to get here was a little uncomfortable and noisy, but for me it was worth it because the destination makes it all worthwhile and the remoteness of the location is part of its appeal. Just remember to bring the provisions you might need because while there is a store in nearby Echo Bay I'm told it doesn't have a lot, we didn't need to go there so I don't have first hand knowledge of that. This is one place that I am definitely coming back to.
