This hotel restaurant is a "Logis" so you would hope to get good value for your money BUT avoid this place at all costs. Service was good, we actually felt sorry for the person taking orders, clearing plates, serving food, preparing checks, AND holding the front desk all at once. The food--bad quality, bad cooking. The daily special, herbed fried pork chops would be made better by you, even if you don't know how to cook. It was undercooked and poor quality. The Cailette had nothing of of a caille _ just a big lump of unedible meat stuffing. The veggies were a mix of fresh and old. You wont regret avoiding this stop.
If you are passing around here (probably on the route Napoleon ) then this hotel is an ok stopover. There is a basic swimming pool and a good breakfast - ham cheese and eggs very welcome on a cycle tour. Not Gand luxury but does all it needs to and competently at that.
Got in on a cloudy evening, had booked online, check in was quick and they spoke good English. Decided to have dinner on site, they were very serviceminded, food ok. Room was clean, bathroom newly renovated and great. Room was a bit small , beds short (I am 2 m so many beds are short :-). First thought it was quiet but once we opened the window we heard a lot of traffic (no airco in the room).
We spent 5 nights at the hotel. The place had obviously been redecorated since the previous comments as the double room we had was average size but we did have room for our motorcycle panniers and gear and was nicely decorated. Very clean and tidy and we had a balcony. Our only criticism is that there is little air flow in the room. We visited when the temperatures exceeded 30 degrees and it was very hard to sleep. We had to leave the balcony door open to let air in but as the room was near to the entrance and the hotel is not far from the main road it was noisy at times. Maybe ceiling fans, vents in the doors or air con could help. Even once the heat disappeared we still had to leave the balcony door open even during the day. On occasions we left our room door open during the evening to get a draft through the room. The facilities and the staff at the hotel are good. Especially the staff as they were very helpful and always on hand. We had a meal on 3 nights and the food was excellent especially the set meals. If you have the table wine then this is good value. The restaurant also has a range of local beers. In the description the hotel said they had a garage for motorcycles. This was one of the reasons we booked however it is not a garage in the English sense but a shelter at the rear of the hotel. It is not an enclosed shelter but open on all sides however it did keep the motorcycle dry. …
We ate here two nights. The local cuisine is very good, and the prices are very reasonable. I had the local sausage meal that was very tasty. The second night I had the magnet de canard which was decent, but not as good as I've had elsewhere. We were traveling in May, so there were few people there (as we like it) and the wait staff was very attentive.
