This place has really gone uphill since the new ownership. We use to come up years ago but never had as much fun as this week (Jul 23-30 2016). Cottages are clean, great view, long hot showers, satellite TV, free WIFI, and they offer boat rentals by the hour/day/week to go fishing. If you have young children this place is...

Our first time visiting Oxtongue Lake Cottages and we will definitely be back. The manager of the cottages, as well as the owner were very welcoming and friendly. The cottages were very clean and had all of the necessities required. Very pet friendly, which we were extremely happy about. Close to Algonquin Park, lake very clean, and of course a...

I usually stay at a resort when I go for my first spring trip to Algonquin with the family and chose this place due to its proximity to the park. Stayed in a 2 bed cottage for 2 nights and everything was great. My son still remembers the lake name and cottage number a year later. There is a beach,...

We stayed at Oxtongue Lake Cottages for 2 nights on an icy-but-sunny March weekend. The cottages are right on the beach of a beautiful lake (that is still frozen at this time of the year), and offer all that is needed for a great family getaway. The cottage itself was super-clean and had everything needed, including a fully equipped kitchen,...

We were here once and stayed in cottage 12 with 2 of our dogs (70 lbs) each. The cottage was small for us but so clean, which won us over! We booked a 2nd time and got cottage 3 and again pleased with how clean the whole cottage is! Mind you, this is not the Ritz! But, hard to find...

We stayed in cottage 5, one bedroom, clean as a whistle, well equipped, very comfortable. Small, friendly resort, beautiful lake and picturesque surroundings. The owners are hard working, unassuming people, who are involved in their community. They donate to their local organizations when a need arises and do this without thought of attracting attention to themselves or seeking recognition. I...

We had stayed several times prior to our week at OLC but previous stays were only for single overnighters or weekends. Our week long stay was uneventful. Firewood we requested was always delivered in a timely fashion. The only issue with our rental cottage was a screen door that had come off the track. It was fixed promptly and the...

These Rustic cottages are nestled in a wooded area a stone throw away from the beach of Oxtongue Lake. Each cottage is unique and private. The owners and manager were very friendly & accommodating. Ross the manager was always available for any questions or tips and advised us of local tourist attractions. He took us on a narrated tour of...

There is limited accommodation in the park and only 1/3 allows pets. That's why we tried Oxtongue Lake Cottages a few years ago. We keep coming back not only for the location, but Ross, the property manager, genuinely cares about a guest's experience and goes out of his way to ensure you enjoy your stay. Guests are always very friendly.The...

This is an excellent location close to Algonquin park, and most importantly for us, dogs are welcome. You can find everything you need in the cabins, and the beach is fine sandy. We have stayed here many years ago and we were happy to note the updates with the change of ownership: bathrooms were renovated, new kitchen cabinets, floors, wood...

“The two cabins on the far right if facing the water are the most private.Hint, on busy summer and fall days, the line up to get into the park office for a permit is often several kilometres long and upwards of an hour. You can get a park pass at Ragged Falls Park just :5 east of Oxtongue Cabins before you hit the park boundary.”
