My wife and I stayed here in Feb/March 2016 in a log cabin. So much has been said about this location in previous reviews, I can confirm that it is a magical snow covered location nearly at the top of the fells, nice people, good food, knowledgeable guides, enjoyable safaris, and a week's stay not long enough. 😃

Winter sports resorts are usually silent during summer and autumn, also in this case. I arrived to Hotel Iso-Syöte and checked in late, it was a Saturday evening and a beginning of the stormy night. It was great to experience the storm up there! The hotel was under renovation, that's very good. The standard room was comfortable, and the vista... More

Wonderful hotel, very beautiful room the suite Eagle Nest, very much worth its value. Very nice views, spa inside the room, a swimming-pool jacuzzi (you can literally swim in it), sauna, and all the luxuries expected. The decoration is very special!

A beautifully quiet place up on top of a hill. It's obviously a busy ski resort during the winter, but during the summer it is really quiet. The main hotel is being renovated so we were put in the chalets which are a few minutes walk down the hill. The chalets are so well insulated that it was quite hot... More

The snow and scenery is amazing, absolute winter wonderland. Kelo cottages were brilliant to stay in. Activities were great fun-especially the snow shoeing. Only reason for 4 stars was the limited food at the hotel for a vegetarian. Definitely planning to return.

We stayed at the Iso Syote Hotel for the second time a couple of weeks ago. It's a Winter Wonderland, but s-s-h-h keep it to yourself, part of its beauty is its remoteness and the fact that there aren't hordes of competitive and aggressive European skiers spoiling it! The hotel staff and safari guides are friendly, approachable and helpful. The... More

The husky sled ride is a must as is the skiing, snowmobiling and of course the Northern Lights. Very efficient and friendly staff - cant wait to return there!
