Lovely old home that was turned into a hotel. We were on a cycling tour of the Douro Valley and this was our last stop. We were the only ones booked into the hotel (casa) and the staff person left at night so that we were the only ones in the hotel. The overall experience was very good, as the...

We stayed three nights here & it was just lovely. We came to visit the archaeological park: well worth the trip. Contact Trilhos do Passado before you go to arrange your tour. Our guide Angela was fantastic. The house is beautiful & our room with a balcony over-looking the garden was perfect. Foz Coa is worth a couple of days:...

We arrived on a hot day and the pool was very inviting. By far the best place to stay in Foz Coa. The rooms are large and the beds comfortable. The breakfast is quite good with homemade cakes and lots of local fruit .

Beautiful home host and breakfast. The perfect beginning to a tour of Douro Valley. Start here and work your way to Porto on N222. Also the tourist office here is extremely helpful and eveyone walks you to your destination to make sure you find it. We will return. Thank you.

A group of 7 friends on an organised cycling holiday spent 3 nights here on our way through the Douro valley. At first sight the premises _ the red house _looked magnificent with large rooms and a fair sized swimming pool. The hostess was extremely friendly even though she spoke no English and we spoke no Portuguese. We were the...

This is what Portuguese call "room tourism", i.e. an inhabited house whose owners offer some rooms for rent. Something like a B&B. So, this house is almost a palace, and the rooms are big, luminous, beautiful and greatly furnished. The breakfast (included in the price) is top notch. Location is good. However, as for Portugal it is VERY overpriced. VERY.

I agree with Lisboamaria-the house is a beautiful mansion, and our room, which was plenty big, was furnished with very personalized items. Comfortable bed, nice sized bathroom and shower. There was a good selection at breakfast of cereal, yogurt, toast, juice, and a cake. It's located right in Villa Nova de Foz Coa. There is a swimming pool that was...

Beautiful house, incredible architecture and exquisite good taste in the interior decoration. All nicely preserved and with original restaured furniture. The rooms are very confortable and the people available and very nice. Familiar and cosy environment. Gourgeous pool. The breakfast is assorted and abundant. Lots of fresh fruit. Great location. The main gate is not too large, just enough, but...
