As you arrive at the gate a sign says: Free range people. It warns motorists to be cautious. My little 'stable' was labeled Streaker, which tempted me to do that as there is a sense of fun at this farm, although everything is well run with all the usual stuff in the room. An addition is a bit of history... More

A wonderful setting midway between Johannesburg and Cape Town or the other way around. In the middle of the Karoo, the rooms are quaint and well appointed. While on our journey we were called by the reception asking about our choice for dinner - cannot wait for a taste of the Warthog being prepared. Sat in the pub watching the... More

Now this was hospitality at its best - an experience I'd recommend my good friends to enjoy - the hosts are informed welcoming and gracious. Drinks and conversation that made time fly in the low ceiling and welcoming bar and the tastiest breakfast in a cozy red dining room just book and go!

What a perfect spoil. As soon as you arrive you soak up the history behind this 6 generation family home and farm. The welcome is warm and friendly and the rooms quaint and perfect for good night sleep. Apart from offering bed and breakfast they also offer a wonderful three course evening meal and there is a well stocked bar... More

Their publicity is entirely accurate. A great place to stay at very affordable prices. We stayed in a "luxury" room and unless budget is very tight I would recommend anyone to do the same if it's available. A bit more space and quieter than the main block. Food is great, really great. If you get the chance try the Karoo... More

We stopped overnight on route. A delightful surprise, warm, comfortable, tasteful accommodation. Lovely rooms, we looked at the self catering option as it is pet friendly, and that looked equally lovely. Food excellent, service excellent. Will book again. Highly recommend.

Stated here on our way down to Cape Town. What a rare find. We were greeted with such warmness and made to feel part of the family on our arrival. The rooms at the Paddocks are excellent. They cater for all your needs. The setting is superb and you can go walking anywhere on the farm. For the birders you... More

A thoughtful, tasteful farm outhouse and stable conversion to a bed n breakfast, (with excellent dinners with a small tasty menu offering) with personal, meaningful, thoughtful reception, service, room furnishings and accommodation. Ticks all the boxes that many " 1st class" establishments cannot do. Don't drive past: but please book, directly is better.

We stopped at Kuilfontein en route to the coast and it was a welcome change from the usual featureless motel accommodation we normally resort to. The farmlands surrounding the cottages provide a scenic backdrop for charming family units, which have been converted from the original farm buildings. We were met by a friendly hostess, who had our dinner waiting (we... More
